* Government air strikes back ground forces in rebel-held suburbs
* Activists say first air raids in Damascus since before gas attack
* Assad opponents say shows he no longer fears imminent U.S. strike

AMMAN, Sept 10 (Reuters) - Syrian warplanes bombed rebel suburbs of Damascus on Tuesday for the first time in three weeks, in an offensive that opposition activists said showed President Bashar al-Assad no longer feared attack by the United States.
Not seen in action around the capital since before Aug. 21, when hundreds of people were killed in a poison gas attack that Western powers blame on Assad, government jets mounted attacks on three areas, some in support of assaults on the ground.

That's the side that is willing to live in peace with the Christians, so yes.
Hezbullah and Iran do not want to live in peace with Christians. They want to see Islam triumph, and Christians and Jews killed.
Frankly, Scarlet: I take Sarah Palin’s position.
And you’ll forgive me if I have a slight issue with folks who eat the livers of their enemies, with more and more evidence that the folks who were gassed (if any) were kidnapped kids from the Team-Jihad led strike force (read: Obama/McCains’ foot soldiers).
So yeah, as far as I’m concerned, those types should be vanquished from the planet before another ‘excuse’ for an un-needed war comes up again.
And gee, who seems to be the only group pissed about Putin’s proposal?

16:45 GMT: Moscow will propose a draft statement by the chairman of the UN Security Council, supporting the initiative to transfer Syrias chemical weapons to international control, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
The issue was discussed during a phone conversation between Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his French counterpart, Laurent Fabius.
[Lavrov] said that Russia, on its part, is submitting a draft statement for the UN Security Councils chairman, welcoming the initiative and calling on the UN Secretary General, the general director of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, and all the interested parties to make efforts to facilitate the implementation of this proposal, the ministrys statement said.
During the call, Lavrov said described as unacceptable a French proposal to adopt a Security Council resolution blaming President Assads government for the chemical weapons attack.

This should get interesting.. Arab puppet 0bama has his orders to get Assad out so the pipeline can be built, come hell or high water. Another chem attack? Probably.
Actually, my position is the same as Sarah Palin’s. You on the other hand, want America’s enemies Hezbullah and Iran to win. There’s a word for that, and it begins with a big capital “T”.
Here are your choices: Hezbullah and Iran or al Qaeda. Please, take your time in choosing.
Residents stand near a Christmas tree in front of the Al-Amin mosque in downtown Beirut, on Dec. 18, 2012.
This year, more than any other year, media sources controlled by Hezbollah have broadcast displays of Christmas celebration. On Christmas Day, the Hezbollah-affiliated Al-Nour radio station took the occasion to praise Jesus Christs birth, and chose to broadcast religious songs following a political decision made by Hezbollah.

Not pretty is it? I want the Syrian War to continue, and for both sides to lose.
This really is a slap in the face to Obama, who just said the UN couldn’t get anything done. Now Russia offers the solution ...
My reference to the “T” word was a bit out of line. Please accept my apology.
Fanatical Arabs killing fanatical Arabs ....
Can’t we just stand back and eat popcorn?
Pray, tell me, which devil would you choose?
Dittos. Kissinger said the same thing about Iran vs Iraq. He was right about that, and you are right about this.
They have to clear a path for the weapons inspectors. /S
One thing that solidified in my mind by this whole fiasco: I no longer see the rebels as the good guys. In this war, there are bad guys and worse guys. Kinda like the russian front in WWII.
Let’s not forget that all of the sinatbility in the ME has to do with one thing: Global Caliphate. That is the ultimate goal.
INSTABILITY. (I hate when that happens)
The intent to have a pipeline across Syria for Saudi and friends to transport gas, from some old some new fields,is not being publicized. The Saudis are not friends of the USA beyond selling oil and gas. Of course gas and oil don’t mean much without the money, i.e. gold, to go with it. This whole fiasco is like years past when money was the root and food for wars.Just a latest version of Bush1’s ‘new world order’. People need to review history and learn who the money brokers were/are in war actions. History is once again repeating itself. I believe any respite in Syria is just a temporary fix/thing until the world money baggers find a path to stir things up for their interests.
