Here's your non-shocker of the day. Former Obama campaign adviser David Axelrod is giving President Obama, not Russian President Putin, credit for Syrian President Assad's agreement to turn over chemical weapons.
President Obama is still scheduled to make his case for a "military attack" on Syria tonight from the White House, but with the news breaking this morning the Russians and Syrians have reached a deal, you can bet his speech will be all about how his threats of a tiny, very small attack led to diplomacy.If POTUS hadn't threatened credible military response, does anyone believe Russia and Syria would be coming forward now? Yes, Obama got them to surrender on this by threatening attack then backpeddling and announcing that he needed congress to give him their approval before he could decide what he should really do, after even England rejected him.

Assad will not turn over his chemical weapons! How gullible can Americans be to buy this crap (and you know they will). There’ll be a hand shake for the cameras, some canisters shown, and Assad will continue committing what Kerry calls an ‘atrocity’.
This is one of the first times I have seen a massive foreign policy failure packaged effectively as a victory.
Obama drew a dumbass red line, and failed to back it up because he was about to be humiliated on the votes.
