LAKE MARY, Fla - Lake Mary Police are now questioning the validity of several statements Shellie Zimmerman made when she told 911 dispatchers her estranged husband, George Zimmerman, threatened her and her father at gunpoint Monday afternoon.
"We did not find a gun, did not locate a weapon," said Zach Hudson, public information officer with the Lake Mary Police Department. "Nobody ever saw a gun. A gun is not part of this story."
Still, a gun was at the crux of the account Shellie Zimmerman provided to 911 dispatchers when calling for help.
"He continually has his hand on his gun and he keeps saying, 'Step closer.' He is just threatening all of us," Shellie can be heard telling dispatchers.
Hudson told ABC Action News Shellie provided a written statement Monday night saying she never saw a gun and only assumed her estranged husband was carrying a weapon because he touched his stomach.
Shellie called police to her father's home on Sprucewood Road around 2 p.m. She claimed George punched her father in the face and threatened both of them with a gun.
"He accosted my father and then took my IPad and then smashed it and cut it with a pocketknife. I don't know what he is capable of. I am really really scared," Shellie told dispatchers.
According to authorities, Shellie's father did not have any visible injuries.
In the 911 call, Shellie asked the dispatcher to send paramedics because her father's nose looked like it was broken.
There are also other inconsistencies police pointed to on the 911.

Absolutely! She’s smart in a bad way and knows how to draw him into a police “situation” where all she has to say is, “He’s scaaaring meee...” for the cops to respond like the heroes they are not and like the victim she is not and she knows it. It was the same way in the ‘90’s. Cops are such followers of trends that they can’t be trusted to be unbiased.
I speak from experience...I once told my ex- that “had I not been a white guy, she’d have been dead a long time ago.” and it’s the same thing with George and his old lady.
The state attorney could still file charges and Shellie is the likely target especially since she is on probation from her plea deal and lied on the 911 tape to the police dispatcher.
Glad they don’t have kids. ‘Cause then comes the molestation charge.
I believe she’s trying to put pressure on him to acquiesce to her divorce demands.
I TOTALLY agree. I posted on the early threads yesterday and I could not believe the pathetic attacks on GZ on the basis of FALSE media coverage (as usual). And these people want to be known as conservatives?? Unfrickinbelievable.

I just watched ABC News playing up Shellie’s 911 call but failing to mention that last night on Nancy Grace the PIO for the Lake Mary police called in and handed her her a## on a platter. He told her that no gun was found at the scene and there were no injuries to Shellie’s father after examination by paramedics — in other words Shellie lied on her 911 call to police:

I’ll watch these Chip, thank you. Do you think charges will be brought against her? This whole thing makes me sick but I’m grateful the truth is coming out rather quickly. I just hope there are repercussions.

The PIO for Lake Mary actually called into Nancy Grace to correct her misstatements — when does that ever happen???
If I’m the LM police and have been lied to in a 911 call and show up on the scene with guns drawn because of it and after investigation it turns out to be a lie and the caller refuses to give a statement, I would press charges against Shellie. What she did is a felony worth a year in the clink — and this while she is on probation for felony perjury.
All the I TOLD YOU SO Freepers from yesterday will eat crow today. Plan on calling a few S. Florida talk show hosts today who harped on and on about how Zimmerman was ARRESTED WITH A GUN.

The paramedics show up and find no injuries on him.
