I’d assume that you’re being sarcastic.
It is well known that al Qaeda has some chemical stocks, acquired during its recent successful rampages through various phases of the “Arab Spring,” and that the Saudi royals tacitly support AQ except when it seems to threaten their power (and in fact, that supporting it abroad may actually protect them at home).
A lot of this conflict has to do with the Syrian gas fields, in any case. That’s one of the reasons that the “rebels” headed for Homs.
Assad gassed his own people. He did it because he’s a genocidal socialist dictator. The Saudis want to topple Iran’s ally in Syria, and so should we. Instead Americans believe whatever lies and nutty anti-American conspiracy theories Iran spreads.
