Lessay Assad deliberately exported military weapons to a neighbor KNOWN to be a lawless, bloodthirsty enemy, and that his AIM was to boost stories of tragic, bloody murder:

Would that justify killing him..?

Obama should answer that question —I’ll bet he would be exquisitely careful in answering.

GOSH I WONDER WHY.

Suspect a ploy to pollute the investigation:

Assad is innocent but responsible for what his men do, so we can still bomb and kill him.

Presumption in the format of the report: Assad's men.

Do we know they were loyal to Assad and the Syrian military or are they paid and controlled by the Saudis on the sly?

Or were they simply rebels wearing proper Syrian uniforms with seized vehicles?

Remember what we learned from Al Gore: It is perceptions that count not facts. Facts just get in the way of “doing what is right”. In Gore’s case “doing right” means making him rich. With Obama is is all about agenda and image. Getting rich is already set in stone.

This story could well be true. It fits with the facts. But not with the plan. And certainly not with the perception that Obama and Kerry want us to hold in our head.

“Assad is innocent but responsible for what his men do”

Sure would be nice if Obama could be held to that same standard.

What if we were allies with the men who killed our ambassador?

In fact, lets go a step further. What if we were allies with the guys who knocked over the Twin Towers?

If most Americans polled are against what Obama wants, this info will not put them in his camp, but probably the opposite.

In the end, people don’t want the U.S. involved exactly for the reasons Volker Weiker pointed out.

I was thinking of including that in my remarks, and pointing to Maj. Nidal Hasan, but I wanted to remain focused on the way the news was posed as a work around to disqualify Assad's actual innocence.

This is probably a graceful-exit position set up for Zero. “I was right that Syrian forces did terrible things; but they were rogue. So Congress doesn’t need to do that nasty ol’ vote.”

Being president of Syria is just too big a job for one person. He can’t possibly be held responsible for everything that happens in his administration and his military.
