White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough asserted that a "common-sense test" rather than "irrefutable, beyond-a-reasonable-doubt evidence" makes the Syrian government responsible for a chemical weapons attack that Obama says demands a U.S. military response.
McDonough acknowledged the risks that military action could drag the U.S. into the middle of a brutal civil war and endanger allies such as Israel with a retaliatory attack.

So, common sense: Which narrative makes sense: The Assad government, which has been having a large number of successes in recent history suddenly decides to commit a chemical weapon attack against a noncombatant population in rebel territory for no determinable gain, and every risk of an international response to the attack.
Or the rebels gassing the extra mouths to feed, trading the lives of that population for one of the most expansive, and in the view of some, terrifying military in the world, with the minimum gain being a massive aerial attack against the Assad government.
Common sense says that the White House has none.
Wonder why, what hes really after.....I believe he WANTS WWIII to start, so he can capitulate, the communists then invade the country, he is installed as leader for life and we are occupied by UN forces, Russians and Chinese. Don’t care how you refute it, it is the only likely outcome with this half black bastard of a white Commie whore at the helm.

What sane adult man would:
- 1 - Marry Moochelle (or Hillary)
- 2 - Write “...maybe a little blow...” in one of his two (2) autobios (with composite people in it)
- 3 - Allow “my publisher” to print and distribute “born in Kenya” in a printed PR handout - and wait years and years before saying “that was a mistake”
- 4 - Obama is a mistake - I doubt that his mother even knew who was “Barry Hussein Junior’s” daddy - any number of various assorted men - a neighborhood dog, etc.

Obaba would not know common sense if it bit him on the butt.
Also, with Obaba’s truthfulness track record, him saying it was Assad 110% guarantees it was his terrorist buddies in the “Rebellion”.
This is novelty. Going to war without evidence of a reason to go to war.
More people who don’t believe our government’s “common sense”:

To date, Obamas delusional lies explain why for me personally, I cannot support this Syria debacle. The way Obama handled Ben Ghazi is despicable. Obama lied to us and the world for weeks on end about the video and then went so far as to arrest and put in jail that poor Coptic Christian. Worst of all he refused to rescue our Ambassador, a State Department worker and two former Navy SEALs. There is no way I trust him with Syria.
"We ultimately, of course, hold PresidentAssadObama responsible for the use ofchemical weaponsthe IRS by his regime against his own people, regardless of where the command and control lies," Harf said.
Colin Powell also gave a presentation to the United Nations regarding Saddam Hussein's WMD program, including satellite photos of mobile laboratory trucks. The "common sense test" would have been that Hussein had a WMD program, but the Democrats, led by Ted Kennedy and John Kerry, chose to believe the dual-use explanations over Bush's.
So now we're supposed to believe Kerry's "common sense" the other way, with no questions asked?

OKay, we’ll apply the same test to stuff happening in this country.
Chem plant explosion?
Zero.
Rim fires in Yosemite?
Zero.
Rapes and murders in DC?
Zero.
It’s all his fault, we have an urgent need to invade!
See!
See!
There’s hundreds of videos on youtube showing the fires and crimes!
/ end idiotic example.
It really is theater of the absurd in DC at the moment.
Judging from what this administrations ‘Common Sense’ has done for us to date, I’d say we have much to be concerned about with regard to Syria.
<< Do they mean like carrying a tire pressure gauge in our cars that will remove our dependency on foreign oil? That kind of common sense? >>
LOL! Thx for the laugh. I never would have remembered that one.
LOL! Y’all are killing me.
Add “Like ” to the front of her sentence and it’ll be even funnier!

Common Sense test is not the standard when it comes to war. With war it’s what they required of GW Bush and Iraq. You make your case based on the evidence at hand. And the evidence at hand was that Iraq had used gas against both Iran and the Kurds. He was, therefore, known to have stockpiles of WMDs.
The real issue with Saddam, though, was the authorization of Sep 2011 by Congress that gave the go-ahead by the administration against “anyone who had aided, abetted, or provided comfort to any organization associated with those who had perpetrated 9/11.”
So, even though Pres. Bush went for a specific Iraq authorization, what made Saddam liable was his connections with al Qaeda, and al Zarqawi was one proof of the same.
That said, the immediate threat was delivery by terrorist cells against Americans of small amounts of WMDs. And this was made real by the mental state of Saddam, who had actually sent a hit team against a former president.
They’re admitting they’re throwing stuff against the wall and going with what sticks. Risking American lives for that? I don’t think so.
The nutbars are in the White House.
Don’t forget the “because Obama supports terrorists” reason.
