Your right, this is nuts!!! They could not have simply waited this man out?????????? Good grief. He was ONE HUNDRED AND SEVEN YEARS OLD!!! Hell, he would have probably have fallen asleep in a while. He was probably not in his right mind. This is terrible. There simply was no need to rush and press this. They could have waited. He would have passed out from lack of sleep.
It has been reported he was legally blind and also very hard of hearing. There was a better way to handle it and not with a SWAT Team.
Easy for you to say that from where you sit wouldn’t you agree?
So when you reach a certain age different rules apply?
He defied AUTHORITAY.
I agree with RUA. DEATH!!!
Probably should have made an example of a couple of neighbors, for practice and to learn the local peasantry how to grovel on their bellies before being shot by The King’s Men.
I believe that Common Sense has left the building. We now live in Totalitarian Police State.
Yes there was a better way to handle it without the SWAT Team. There is still a lot of unanswered questions here and by the way I am from Pine Bluff, Ar where this occurred.
The fellow was hard of hearing, legally blind and probably suffered from some Dementia.
There are numerous cases where the need for a SWAT Team is not necessary if only common sense had prevailed.
