First UPS, now The Kroger Co.
The Cincinnati-based grocer, which is the parent of Dillons in Kansas, has decided to stop providing insurance coverage for the spouses of its employees in Indiana, effective Jan. 1, according to a report in the Cincinnati Business Courier, a sister publication to the Wichita Business Journal.
Its not a companywide movement, but the decision has sparked concern that Kroger will take similar action in its other markets.

“If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor...”
Liberal reaction on KOS:
Only Racists think this is due to Obamacare. It’s the fault of Right-To_Work!
When the opposition that controls the Media Memes is this f***ing stupid, how do you combat them?
Vote for Bammy, live by his edicts.
Doctors appt. were not part of the program...when they changed the name from hospitalization to health care, up went the cost....I was shocked when one of my daughter in laws said the bill for one of her kids was over 6000. dollars.
I had 5 natural births and one emergency C section and it didn't add up to that amount....
UPS has already dropped spousal health care.

Kroger employs over 340,000 people and has 2,419 Stores in 31 States.
Here in southern California, they own the Ralphs supermarket chain, which has about 250 stores in the local area.
$6,000 is cheap for today!
The horrible economy also allows these companies to do this. Who is going to quit? They aren’t able to get a new job anyway.
Obama did it.
Yep. Listened to Mark Levin speak at The Reagan Library, tonight. Someone asked about 0Care...how do we undo it, etc.
Mark pretty much said that due to "French Republicans" (no opposition party) we're stuck. It begins implementing next month, and will keep rolling. He said, eventually, we'll all see that it doesn't work. Then what? Well, DC LOVES to fix things that don't work.
It will then become MORE centralized. Which, according to Mark, is what they've wanted, all along.
I don’t think we can “combat them”. I think we have to allow them to destroy whatever it is they’re going to destroy. Once that is done, we pick up the pieces and make something worthwhile out of it. And, no, I am not happy about any of that.
It will all depend on how the individual states implement ObamaCare.
All these corporate plans are going to end. IBM just opened the gate. Many, many more will follow.
“Mark pretty much said that due to “French Republicans” (no opposition party) we’re stuck. It begins implementing next month, and will keep rolling.”
It’s worse than that. The gop wing of the uniparty is not only unwilling to oppose boehnercare, they’re quietly supporting it.
If my business was about to be forced to pay for coverage of the domestic partner of some clamlicker or turdburglar employee... I would just as soon say THAT’S IT... no more, no how.
