Most addictions to nicotine start at a young age

Sad.

MSM floats this out while the occupant of the WH dances.

Couldn’t be any worse than “legalized recreational pot” .... oh wait, does pot contain fire, tars, and other toxic elements?

I have seen a huge number of “vapor” shops opening, usually by the same guys that formerly sold synthetic pot.

Looks like they have the same audience.

Store owners all seem to be swarthy ME guys.

This is what happens when we try to socially engineer behavior. It always backfires but the supporters of the engineering are never willing to admit failure.

The simple fact is that humans have been smoking various plants since we mastered fire.

Bravo Sierra........

The studies are done and funded by those who profit the most from the “smoking cessation” products they make.

The poster of this article also believes there is nothing unnatural about homosexuality.

EXACTLY!!!!

The problem is that so many people, including the poster of this thread, actually believes in the politically correct psycho-babble that passes for "science" these days.

Excellent. Good luck in your endeavor...Any thoughts on teenagers becoming addicted to nicotine?

Hey....tobacco makes for a pretty good chew as well....I like Red Man, but then I’m sort of politically incorrect. Down right politically wrong, sometimes :-)

Its a fantasy to believe that the e cigarettes will lead to the real thing.

Hell I grew up in a family of smokers and I was the only one who smoked consistently till several years ago and of my 4 sisters only one of them ever smoked and she was an intermittent smoker for years till she quit.

Good for you.

Cold turkey in this house. Getting off coffee was far, far worse than the cigs.

I know that. This propaganda (and that is what it is) is being pushed by the pharmaceutical industry because they are losing money from people that would otherwise be buying FAILED their prescription drugs or other nicotine replacement "therapies."

Hennepin County, (twin cities, MN) is considering banning the use of e-cigs.

You don’t suppose the fact that they just raised the tax on a package of cigarettes ($1.50 a pack) in Minnesota has anything to do with it, do you?

What next? Perhaps they should ban patches and gum too, if they want to make sure they collect every tax dollar they can.

I remain deeply suspicious of this story about teens. I think it is about fear of losing the tax dollars.

You are absolutely correct. Unfortunately, the poster of this thread is addicted to bad science and biased polls and because of that addiction is of the mindset that homosexuality is perfectly normal.

I think it is about fear of losing the tax dollars.

That is the first part of the fear of loss. The second part is the fear of the loss of money from the pharmaceutical industry which stands to lose BUCKETS of money because e-cigs have proven to be a more effective quit smoking product than anything they can produce.

Unable to come up with her own rebuttal, science or any peer review articles, the champion of addiction launches ad hominem attracts on me. Typical.

I haven’t smoked a cigarette since 12/9/09 thanks to e-cigs.

I don’t cough in the morning, or at night. I don’t have cigarette breath, nor do my clothes or car smell like an ashtray.

I’ve been buying up e-cig supplies (liquid, batteries, atomizers) for a long time, and have an ample supply should my government decide that they’re no good for me, and make e-cigs illegal.
