Man, you either drive real fast or your taking the space shuttle.
Takes me 12 hours from the city of Downey just to get to my place in Trinity Co. Ca.

It's 914 miles from my rental in Clairemont (San Diego) to my house in the Pocatello, ID area. I typically leave at 8 AM from Clairemont. First stop is Barstow, CA for gas. Next stop is Primm, NV for gas. Next is St. George, UT gas. Again at Nephi, UT for gas. Final leg non-stop to Pocatello. Best time every is 13 hours, 50 minutes. Average is 15 hours. Worst ever was Pocatello to San Diego in 23 hours with horrible weather on Jan 2nd, 2011. Big snow storm had me filling the tank in Barstow in blowing snow, then taking my 4x4 through Victorville up Summit Valley Road to Silverwood, then down SR 138 back to I-15 because Cajon Pass was blocked by heavy snow. Driving rain made the rest of the path from the I-15/I-215 turn to San Diego very unpleasant.
