A new use-of-force resolution for Syria sets a 60-day deadline, with one 30-day extension possible, for President Barack Obama to launch military strikes against the regime of Syria President Bashar Assad — and it will also bar the involvement of U.S. ground forces in Syria.
Aides to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) were also involved in the discussions over the revised resolution.

Why has this NOT COME OUT?? The terrorists did it and it is well understood and we are being fed yet another foreign policy LIE!! Any politicians that votes for this is politically finished . WE DO NOT FIGHT THE GOVERNMENT of Syria!! They did not Gas their people. It was clearly the Al Qaeda!!

This whole strike is for our dictator. Obama wants to save face. He made a mess of Lybia and Egypt. And now he’s risking WWIII for his own ego.
Congress needs to vote against this lunacy.
Muslims are savages and we can’t attack them for it every time they show us how satanic they are. It’s not like they attacked our mainland again. What we can do is get all of the Christians out of there because they are all being gassed, beheaded, burned up and crucified. I have not heard Obama mention this at all. Why? Because the killing of Christians has nothing to do with his ego. This whole strike is about Obama’s red line and so he can save face.
AND if this strike starts a gigantic middle eastern conflagration, Obama isn’t going to take responsibility for it. He will turn around and blame congress.
The people elected to run this country have gone cuckoo.
For the first time in my 72 years of life, I have lost faith in my country. I shudder to even think of the future for my grandchildren and great grands.

Why are we talking about when, where, how, what? That alone proves that this is political, as everything Obama and the Democrats do is political.

This is unconstitutional! Congress can only declare war, and fund or defund war. They cannot micromanage a war they declare. That is the President’s job.
How will they get around the illegality of attacking a sovereign nation involved in a civil war?
