Hearing will be live on CSPAN.
Kerry and Hagel will also testify to the House Foreign Affairs Committee tomorrow at 12pm.
On board now, apparently:
Boehner
Cantor
Cornyn
Ask this question. “Do you know with certainty exactly who gassed these people?” THEY DON’T. It is obvious that it was the terrorist!! WHY ARE WE FIGHTING FOR AL QAEDA???? This is utter madness. The Republican party just disintegrated. Its GONE. We now have a war in this party. Go Cruz!!!
Thank you, Dave, for the “head’s up”.
You’re welcome. It almost feels like we’re in the twilight zone to see the same figures who hammered Bush endlessly over Iraq advocating war here.
Remember all those crazy worldwide “antiwar” protests defending Saddam Hussein? And how they numbered in the hundreds of thousands?
Where are they now to defend Assad?
Hopefully the file will out-rank him!

McCain and Kerry hug ... Hagel shakes McCain’s hand.
Code Pink protest.
Menendez: “Chem attack took the lives of 1429 Syrians (including at least 426 children)”
Has this ever been confirmed?
I guess 91% of us citizens are too ignorant to know what is “good for us”.
I get the feeling, from listening to Menendez, that we are being subtly threatened with chemical weapons here at home if we don’t go after Syria.
Gag me, Teresa is there! Wonder if she has her raisins with her.
Menendez: “We know that the Assad regime stockpiled chemical agents including mustard, sarin, and VX gas and has thousands of munitions capable of delivering them.”
Sounds a lot like Saddam’s stockpile to me! It’s like deja vu from 10 years ago!
Not to my knowledge ... more propaganda our MSM will dutifully report.
Teresa Heinz Kerry in da house.

Corker the newly minted full blown sellout. The anger in Tenn for him is palpable.
Syria is said to be hiding weapons, moving troops
“The main Western-backed opposition group says that during the buildup last week to what seemed like an imminent U.S. attack, the army moved troops as well as rocket launchers, artillery and other heavy weapons into residential neighborhoods in cities nationwide. Three Damascus residents, speaking on condition of anonymity for fear of reprisals, confirmed such movements.
“One man said two members of the elite Republican Guards broke into an empty house he owns and showed him an official document stating they were authorized to do so because Syria is at war. A woman in another area said soldiers moved into a school next to her house. [snip]
“The Syrian regime knows there are 30-40 potential targets for U.S. airstrikes, and they have had ample time to prepare,” said Hisham Jaber, a retired Lebanese army general and director of the Middle East Center for Studies and Political Research in Beirut. “Half of them, if not more, have been evacuated, moved or camouflaged. This is the natural thing to do.”

In true senatorial fashion, Sen. Menendez took a moment to note that Theresa Heinz Kerry, wife of Secretary John Kerry (former chair of the committee) was at the hearing and looking healthy. She is sitting right behind Kerry.

I pointed out the very same on another thread:
It will be interesting to see how far the public polls are pushed.
91% opposed a strike on Syria.
Then...the poll question got shifted to something like Should Obama consult Congress.
Unless there is a popular uprising of demonstrations, this is a done deal.
