Given the collectivist nature of Mass politics Logan will never be privatized. That is a Taxachusetts pipe dream.
The future governor can, of course, put his holding in trust, a resolution beyond the pale of the Ethics Commission’s comprehension.
It would appear that the Boston and MassAss governments wants control of Logan to make sure that Muslim terrorists can fly into, and depart from, Boston in carrying out their assigned duties.
The premise of a trust is that no one individual can control the entire marketplace, and therefore cannot make decisions favorable to their trust. In the case of the largest airport in Massachusetts and a large regional airline, I would say that that premise is flawed. It would be very easy for a governor to push for legislation favorable to his financial cause.
