seriously, swat holsters have trigger guards, probably serpa or fobus or kydex that you can’t fire them in the holster. there’s more to this than what’s reported.

A few years ago, it came out that Connecticut administered an IQ test to people who wanted to be police officers. If you scored too high, they wouldn't take you. True story.

I don't know about California, but maybe they don't have to worry about smart people applying.

If it was a Glock then it wasn’t secured in the holster cause when mine is in the holster you can’t even see the trigger.

Concur. If the gun was in any normal type of modern holster there is no way it went off in the holster.

Typical. Our modern thug army is a running demonstration of the hazards of mixing guns and mental retardation.

the gun that went off was secured in a holster at the time

I like my Glocks. All you have to do is pull that 5.5lb trigger and it fires. No decockers, no safties, no levers, just pull that damned trigger. Simple. Keep your finger (or someone elses) off of it.

any gun with a manual safety if it's engaged... at least it's not designed to anyway

When you can't retain your weapon and keep a 6 year old from discharging it.... It's time for a new job.

during a community meeting

obviously a high danger situation where an unsecured loaded weapon is a must

Funny, I’ve always been taught not to depend on a safety. Guess all those NRA and military instructors had it wrong.

If the safety is on, gun no shootee.

Lots of cops were found dead with their gun safety on, hence the Glock trigger.

PS The use of an IQ test to weed out wannabe cops is widespread - “Judgement ist verboten!”

Just do Yer duty, got it! And remember, “Leave no dog unshot”
