Ousted Egyptian president Mohamed Morsi is to stand trial in a criminal court for "incitement to murder", state television reported on Sunday without giving a date for the trial.
It said he will stand trial along with 14 other suspects in his Muslim Brotherhood movement on charges of "incitement to murder and violence" in December 2012 when deadly clashes broke out between his supporters and opponents outside the presidential palace.
Already accused of crimes related to his 2011 escape from prison, Morsi has been held at a secret location since his ouster by the army on July 3.
The co-defendants in the trial include senior Brotherhood figures Mohamed al-Beltagi and leaders such as Essam el-Erian, deputy head of the Freedom and Justice Party, the Brotherhood political wing.
Last December, thousands of demonstrators gathered in front of the presidential palace in Cairo to protest against a presidential decree that expanded Morsi's powers and an Islamist-drafted constitution.
An Egyptian court in July ordered Morsi's detention for questioning over alleged ties with Palestinian militants in prison breaks and attacks on police.
Egypt has pressed a fierce campaign against the Brotherhood since the former president's ouster and effectively decapitated the Islamist group by arresting its supreme guide Mohamed Badie in late August.
Authorities have also arrested more than 2,000 Brotherhood figures since Morsi's ouster.

We, well, the USA, the administration sure screwed up in Egypt which despite the negatives it had, still had a fair degree of freedom there.
Sorry, those dangerous countries need to be walled off from the rest of civilization.
Egypt shall return, too bad there has been a lot of damage done.
The advantage of Obama’s failed bluff would be that the Egyptian Army can crack down on the Muslim Brotherhood and not have to fear repurcussions, but the loser in the failed bluff would be The Philippines - China’s gonna really mess with them in the South China Sea in the near future.

God bless the Egyptian people and their military for turning this thing around and putting the real criminals and terrorists on trial.
This has got to sting Obama and that duplicitous woman he sent over their to be the Egyptian Ambassador.
I am still hoping that the Egyptian military gathers the evidence and presents it to the world about what happened in Benghazi and Obama’s and Clinton’s complicity in that travesty. This trial would be an excellent time to make that happen.

So you might want to give your sons, daughters and grandkids copies of what you have on this. Then a couple of decades, they can see how wise and on target their Dad and Granddad was.
Wheel the murdering serial killer in a big cage into the courtroom . Then, have four of the biggest Egyptian MPS water board him on international live tv to ask him about the murders in Egypt he ordered/sanctioned, and his connections with our Muslim Brotherhood thugs in the outhouse and kitchen cabinet.
Maybe they can arrest our bitch ambassador and have her in another wheeled cage to wait for her waterboarding.
