“I think it’s at least 50/50 whether the House will vote down involvement in the Syrian war,”

SHEESH! There’d better be more than that!

With polls showing support for an attack on Syria at less than 10% approval I find it hard to believe that there is even a close chance of a supporting vote in the House.

The GOP should vote “present” let the Dems and Obama be fully accountable for this folly.

The gop “leaders” have already assured their master they have the votes needed for him to attack.

It is funny watching people like “Horseface” saying “The president has the authority to do whatever the hell he pleases but it was courageous of him to go to congress.” Their hypocracy (sp?)is just as bad as that of their voters.

It all depends on what Grover Al Norquist demands of his republicans.

There are consequences to ignoring our own brotherhood infection.

The House is out on August recess. I’m sure they haven’t bee properly whip counted. I would guess it’s a good bet that nobody knows how that vote would go.

In fact, between now and when Congress comes back in session in a week, many congresscritters (including mine) will still be holding town halls and this will now be one of the issues discussed. Public sentiment isn’t going to clamor for militarily supporting our enemies.

Republicans would be CRAZY to support the Administration on this (not that that stops the current GOP-e leadership).

If the democrats fall in line, Obama only needs 17 republican votes in the house. He’ll probably get more than 100.

When has this Congress not given Obama what he wants, when he really wants it?

Good chance the authorization will never get out of committee. Any member of Congress inclined to vote authorization will face enormous backlash. Reid will be pressured by hard pressed Democrats facing reelection not to force a vote.

Recently Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) "slammed Secretary of State John Kerry on his willingness to intervene militarily in Syria by twisting his most famous words against him. "I would ask John Kerry, How can you ask a man to be the first one to die for a mistake?" Paul said, in reference to Kerry's famous words against the Vietnam War to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in 1971."

By now I am sure many are asking, "How can you ask a man to die just to cover the asses of a lying, corrupt, incompetent, some say treasonous, Adminstration and its supporters?

They are asking the military personnel to die to divert attention away from the antics of the Obama Jivethon Lying Circus and its crew of Republican clowns.

I remember: Backed by Ted Kennedy and that ilk of the ruling elite Kerry charged U.S. forces including all in the chain of command and the Nixon Administration with wholesale war crimes and every atrocity imagineable. Lies, lies lies.

That's when I first thought If modern America's Man on Horseback is out there, Get on the damn horse already!

If it’s only 50/50, that is tragic.

If Obama attacks Syria, the first images the world we see of the results will be either ACTUAL dead Syrians killed by Obama’s attacks or a STAGED group of dead Syrians allegedly killed by Obama’s attacks — followed by images of real or fake relatives of the dead crying over their murdered families.

But the world won’t stop to consider if the gruesome dead bodies and the relatives they’ll be seeing all over the media on the day of Obama’s attacks are real or not. The world will just be angry and disgusted at Obama and Congress, if it supports Obama’s attacks.

By Day Two of Obama’s War on Syria, the images will change to angry groups of anti-war protesters all over the world and of Bashar al-Assad looking triumphant. On Day Three, when the latest Gallup poll shows that 99% of Americans oppose the new war and the liberal media refuses to cover it, John McCain and Lindsey Graham will appear to defend Obama.
