Q: how are you doing that by following orders issued by this administration?
A: You aren’t
tough situation, isn’t it?
Ask LTC Terry Lakin
To stay in and challenge the lawfulness of the orders is the only way a military officer really CAN keep their oath, it seems.
Not that there’s any chance of it being EFFECTIVE, because the folks like Denise Lind WILL follow the orders they are given, even when it means they have to rule that lawful combat orders can be given without approval by the only person authorized to do so by the Constitution, War Powers Act, and Authorization to Use Force.
At this point I can understand an officer staying in - IF they plan to actually try to keep their oath. And I can understand a non-officer getting out - IF they realize it would be treason against the country to actually keep their oath.
What I CAN’T understand is how any voter with a soul could put these guys in this position.
