According to Nielsen data for Monday as it kicked off its first full week, AJAM’s most popular primetime show was “America Tonight,” which attracted 27,000 viewers. In comparison, Fox News’ “The O’Reilly Factor” drew 2.97 million, MSNBC’s “Rachel Maddow” bagged 970,000, and CNN’s “Anderson Cooper” reeled in 627,000.
Last Thursday night’s “Real Money with Ali Velshi,” which only drew 54,000 viewers, was the new network’s highest rated show last week, TV Newser reported.

I was listening to the David Boze (conservative) talk radio show on AM a couple of weeks ago. There was a traffic report (from a separate company) that was sponsored by Muzzy Bros. TV and Radio (aka Al Jazeera). I was shocked!
The talk show host mentioned right after that traffic report was over that the report was not part of the radio company where he worked.

Surprised but not too much by KPBS in San Diego playing an advertisement for al-Jaz. Got me laughing out loud as literally 90% of donors to public radio are in the crosshairs of al-Jaz.
Obama will give them a bail out. Al Jazeera is too big to fail.
If I want to know what islamic sympathizers have to say, I’ll listen to the president or his cabinet.

Those are pretty good ratings. There are an estimated 3m Muslims in-country, so they’re getting about 1% of that demographic, in the same way that BOR is getting about 1% of the overall population. I suspect they’ll have some difficulty appealing to a general audience, given how the channel is linked in the popular consciousness with Osama bin Laden.
