A military jury sentenced Maj. Nidal Hasan to death Wednesday for killing 13 people during the 2009 shooting rampage at Fort Hood.
Hasan, who sat motionless as the jury president read the verdict, has said he acted to protect Islamic insurgents abroad from American aggression, never denied being the gunman. In opening statements, he acknowledged to the jury that he pulled the trigger in a crowded waiting room where troops were getting final medical checkups before deploying to Iraq and Afghanistan.
Hasan had one final chance Wednesday to give a closing argument before his case went to the jury, but he declined -- continuing an absent defense that he has used since his trial began three weeks ago.
The Army psychiatrist's behavior has only stoked suspicion that his ultimate goal is martyrdom, in the form of a death sentence that would allow him to fulfill what prosecutors have described as a "jihad duty" under his Islamic faith.
The lead prosecutor, Col. Mike Mulligan, told jurors Wednesday morning that history was full of instances of death in the name of religion. But he said it would be "wrong and unsupportive" to tie Hasan's actions to a wider cause

...and the brave, unarmed, soldier who saved others by charging the terrorist, and taking +/-14 bullets for his efforts, deserves the Congressional Medal of Honor, in my opinion.
Just to cover all the bases, can bacon grease be thinned down enough to flow thru those hoses and needles they use for executions?
Too bad the army is not going to change their policies. They will continue to overlook the rantings and ravings of other religion of peace members, who will go on and carry out the violent dogmas of their false religion.

I hope the next president and Congress has the honesty to declare this Islamist scum a terrorist, and allow American soldiers who were killed by him to have their honor.

I'm sure that would be against ADA, but I believe we can get around that by mounting square wheels on it and letting him keep it.

If he had a son, he might look like Nidal Hassan...so sure, if B. Hussein O. gets the chance to pardon Hassan, he will.
Hassan's health is not good. Maybe he will just die while on the appeals process.
Or, maybe they should leave poison with him, and when he gets his meals, he might take matters into his hands. Then, he can take care of his trip to martyrdom by his own hand.
Or trade him with one of our side's captives or him for some jihad activity they have planned.
What am I thinking, they will never deal fairly or with honor.
Can B. Hussein O. pardon Hassan while he is going through the appeals process?
