Courageous and Compassionate Christian Woman Prevents School Shooting
The Story: Yesterday a mentally ill man carrying an AK-47 rifle and 500 rounds of ammunition entered an elementary school outside of Atlanta. The potential tragedy was averted when a courageous and compassionate Christian woman talked the gunman into giving himself up.
The Background: "He had a look on him that he was willing to kill," said Antoinette Tuff, a school clerk. "He said he didn't have any reason to live, and he knew he was going to die today." According to the Washington Post, Tuff began telling him the story of her own life in order to calm him down. She described how her separation from her husband after 33 years of marriage left her feeling lonely and in pain, but she encouraged the man not to succumb to despair.
She said she prayed for the gunman during the crisis, and credited God with helping her maintain her composure.
"I give it all to God. I'm not the hero. I was terrified," she said. "I just explained to him that I loved him," she said. "I didn't know his name, I didn't know much about him, but I did love him."
In the video below, Tuff explains how she made it through the ordeal.

Antoinette Tuff ... I love you.
In a world with way too much despair, you have witnessed to life and hope in God our Creator.
p.s. your ex-husband (33 years?! you must have married at 10?!) is a complete fool.

A true Christian hero. She averted a disaster may have saved hundreds of children in the process; deserves recognition big time.

Her actions are to be applauded....right up until she said on national tv that Obama is the greatest president of all time.....then she lost me completely, as she demonstrated utter ignorance with that statement.

What an inspiring example of a Christian that is not just a hearer of the word, but a doer.
Look into her shining face — look at her eyes. You can see the good! She is truly a light on a lampstand, chasing away darkness.
Thank you LORD for Ms. Tuff.

And this not 24/7 in the media? It would be a start to heal so many wounds.

Never nice job Christian Lady!
Separately, when did we start identifying people by their religion, which is done in the middle east or are we simply taking their lead? With over 2,000 religions worldwide this practice will tax the average reader’s interest.

I agree. We need to hear stories that heal, stories of goodness, and stories about people of all backgrounds working together. These stories are out there and they would help pull our nation together rather than tear it apart.

This is very refreshing. Oh, that the black culture ( our entire culture) could be filled to the brim with people like her.

Indeed!
Why isn’t Obama making public statements about her?
To: daniel1212
She is a real hero in every sense of the word. She overcame her fear and risked her life to save all of those children's lives.
God bless her! We need more people like her.

Why isnt Obama making public statements about her?
I’m pretty sure that If she were Muslim she’d already have been invited to the WH. I believe Obama’s past as an alleged Christian (a BLT type at that which pretends to be Christianity) was merely for show. I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t have been elected if he announced he was Muslim at that point.

No, this did not begin recently nor is it taking the lead from Islam, as identifying people by their religion is well established in the Bible going back thousands of years (Abraham the friend of God, Moses the man of God, etc. and with any name ending in "el.")
