DETROIT (WWJ) A local photographer is crying foul over an image that appears on a new set of public safety vehicles unveiled by the city.
Mayor Dave Bing handed over the keys to 15 new squad cars and 10 ambulances during a presentation downtown on Thursday.
Meantime, Bobby Alcott claims that a photo of the Detroit skyline featured on the vehicles is his under copyright and that the Downtown Detroit Partnership did not purchase the image.
Im not trying to be mean about it. Im not trying to be a jerk, Bobby Alcott told WWJ Newsradio 950. Im just saying its my property.

what kind of work?
I just did a nightmare project for someone in California
They hired me to add something new to their software, but the original software did not work at all...
I explained to them it was like hiring a contractor to add an addition to your house but when he gets there, there is no house, but you expect him to build the house AND then put the addition on it for the same cost.

"I think it's a dumb graphic to use on a police car. I prefer simple colors and an accurate label."
After a quick look, I saw these were police cars, not NASCAR.

I think he gave one of his greatest political speeches in Detroit.
I will not stand by and watch this great country destroy itself under mediocre leadership that drifts from one crisis to the next, eroding our national will and purpose. We have come together here because the American people deserve better from those to whom they entrust our nation's highest offices, and we stand united -- we stand united in our resolve to do something about it.

This seems like a non-issue. The headline promises a juicy story, and the article takes it away.
That being said they are a lot prettier that, say, Cobb county's sheriff's cars.
Jet black cars with a foot high dark charcoal gray "SHERIFF" on the side outlined with a narrow gold pinstripe.

JK Simmons is another good made in Detroit product. He's one seriously talented dude. Everything from a white supremacist prison gang leader to Peter Parker's boss to the insurance ads he makes.

Elmore (Dutch) Leonard passed away bout a week ago.Yep, the last of my three favorite authors. The other two are Michael Crichton and Vince Flynn. As far as fans go, you might say I'm the Angel of Death.

Rebadged Holden Commodores, formerly sold as the Pontiac G8, now only available for police and security fleet use, rebadged yet again as a Chevrolet. Excellent cars, rear wheel drive, 5.7 V8. Too bad they didn’t roll it into Buick as a Grand National, or Chevy as an Impala SS.

Thanks for the info. I was looking at the grill but on second take the roof line is different from the Charger. I grew up with the sons of the local Mopar dealer and got to drive some of the old 440 pursuit vehicles. They were damn fast!
