Obama discussed the situation in Syria by telephone with British Prime Minister David Cameron, the White House said. It was Obama's first known conversation with a foreign leader about Syria since the reports this week that hundreds of Syrians had been killed by the alleged chemical attack in a suburb of Damascus, the capital.

I'm not speaking for anybody else, but I've got a gut feeling that a lot of this stuff was being planned by neocons over a decade ago, and it's being carried out now.

Hell, in 2002, John Bolton labeled Libya and Syria, along with Cuba, as a part of the "Axis of Evil" after Jorge Bush started off with Iran, Iraq, and North Korea.

We went to war with two out of the six that Bush and Bolton labeled as evil, we are prepping for war with a third, and at times we tried to goad NK and Iran into action.

It was clear to those paying attention in 2002 that we were going to war with Iraq, and that the administration and its backers in Congress were just trying to figure out how to frame it and sell it. The same thing is happening with Syria - Obama and his Republican and Democrat buddies have been laying the groundwork to go to war with Syria for over a year now.

The only one left out is Cuba, and it does not rise to the level of "evil" that the others do, which makes you wonder if it was just tossed in as a red herring.

The quality of the men and women in American service is likely to decline.

The quantity damn sure will, we are burning out some of our best and brightest on long multiple tours. We start losing our experienced service members, the quality will definitely go down.

My guess is that Obama is going to pull a Bush and think he can shock and awe this thing and get it over with quickly. And maybe he can get away with just providing air and naval power, and leave the groundfighting to the Al Qaeda allied rebels, but I have a really bad feeling that we will have boots on the ground.

Russia is just going to stand idly by as we fire missiles into Syria to cause a situation, that is truly none of our business, to worsen. After that sophomoric exercise by Generalissimo Barry Obama all hell will break loose as Russia, and possibly China retaliate.
