Someone’s exotic pet escaped.

WJR just had a gal on the phone from a cat rescue here who said the big cat seen in Warren has been identified as a domesticated Savanna cat. It had wandered away from its owners home about a month ago and they had been searching for it since.

People had been feeding it and some had even petted it since it was friendly and not wild.

The lady said that somebody had just shot it and the person who found it had thrown the body in a dumpster where she identified it.

The cat had actually wandered about three miles from its original home..........

That is a shame, but in reading up on the Savannah, thats one of the dangers if your cat gets loose....looks like a kind of wild cat....Wish I had found it before it was shot....I would have to battle my conscience on whether to keep it or return to owner.....
