Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers, number 4 in House GOP Leadership, said the effort by conservatives to defund ObamaCare is "not realistic." She advocated a piece-meal approach to repeal, delay or defund individual provisions of the sweeping health care overhaul. The debate will likely dominate discussions within the Republican caucus when Congress returns next month.
To get the entire bill repealed, or defunded, is probably not realistic, McMorris Rodgers said. But I do think there are provisions in the law that we can get delayed, or provisions in the law we can get defunded.
The government's spending authority expires on September 30th. To avoid a government shutdown, Congress must pass a continuing resolution authorizing continued spending. Many conservatives, led by Sens. Mike Lee and Ted Cruz, want Republicans to strip spending for ObamaCare out of this continuing resolution.
Eighty House Republicans sent a letter to House Speaker Boehner on Thursday endorsing this plan. More moderate Republicans, however, are worried that such a move would garner a veto of the continuing resolution from Obama and lead to a government shutdown. Party leaders are concerned that they would be blamed for any shutdown.
GOP Leaders seem to be galvanizing around a plan to delay by a year the implementation of ObamaCare. The delays the administration has been forced to implement in the healthcare law have given us a golden opportunity to talk about fairness," Boehner said Thursday, according to The Hill. "If big business gets relief from the president's healthcare law, families and small businesses should, too. This message strikes a chord with Americans. When people hear it, it resonates.

So, by your standards, Limbaugh's 25 years on the air have amounted to nothing.
The conservative ball has not been advanced a millimeter for 25 years, huh?
I will leave it at that...
the money has been spent already. they have the cash they dont need this year’s money. The dems OWN THE ISSUE.
(see NJ NY toll roads)
seems like she used to have a hyphen in there and took it out not to look liberal.
even if she had a point in there, it was lost with her incompetent communication skills.
Your response makes no sense... I speak hard fact to you and you respond with some sort of fantasy... Just sit and wait and we will see who sees fact and who sees fantasy.
There are already 53 “third parties”.
You offered nothing.
That is an argument predicated upon the knowledge and understanding of the American people, rather than upon the objective merits of the proposed action itself...
In other words, “We [the Republicans] want it. We just don’t wish to admit we do”.
Like most people today you are incapable of recognizing reality. You will understand when we meet in the re-education camp.
Like most people today, you DO NOT recognize the reality of losing family in a concentration camp.
If you don't like your chances here, move to a safe country...
If you don't like the company on FR....well...
I know I am wasting my time since you cannot comprehend what you read, but here is one more attempt at intelligent communication.
I have been on FR since it started in the mid-90's... you cannot push me off FR since I long out rank you.
You read my original posting and decided to read what you wanted it to say; therefore you attributed the idea of 'third parties' to me. I never said a word about third parties. Therefore I conclude that you cannot comprehend what you read. Clever Marxists will eventually fool you into believing something that they are not really saying, but give you what you think you want to hear.
With $90 trillion debt at 1/2% interest we can survive for a while. If and when interest rates rise to 5% the interest payment on the debt will consume most of the federal budget; we are borrowing 40% of current spending now. At that point the Marxists will convince you that the only solution is more taxation - or a new currency.
That marks the last gasp of a dying nation. If you think you have time to take control of the GOP then have at it and we will see how that works. For my part I doubt we have even five more years, probably much less. I advocate radical change in Washington - NOW! That is where we part ways.
Try to comprehend this not too complicated posting... and forget throwing me off FR; you haven't got a prayer.
Well that ain't gonna happen, so you might as well just terminate yourself.
I understand everything you said perfectly.
Goodbye.
