USAA is also very good, but you can only get this if you are active military, or retired military or a spouse.
I don't know about that.
I'm a veteran (Not active, reserve or retired military -or a spouse of one who is), and they took me in.

LOVE my USAA insurance.
I can’t make any recommendation based on cost, since I haven’t shopped around in years, but in terms of customer service, they are tops. I can’t say enough good things about how well USAA treats you. They are unfailingly polite - a pleasure to deal with.
