Common Core Education has sparked political controversy since the U.S. Department of Education decided to adopt its curriculum nationwide in both public and private schools. The Common Core website lists “exemplar texts” by grade which they recommend for reading and one in particular has some parents taking action. The Common Core recommends a book for 11th and 12th graders by Nobel Prize winning author Toni Morrison called “The Bluest Eye”. The excerpts from the book are too pornographic to post here but you can choose to read them here at this link. The Bluest Eye depicts detailed accounts of incest, rape and pedophilia as “friendly”, “innocent” and “tender”. The biggest issue with the book is that the story is told from the pedophile’s point of view so the reader can become a “co-conspirator” with the rapist. The author purposely did not portray the pedophile’s actions as wrong so the reader can “sympathize” with the pedophile.

Obviously the reason behind some parents calls for removing the book are the graphic depictions of incest, rape and pedophilia. And not just that, the book actually lets the reader see the depictions from the perpetrators point of view. In fact, the author of the book, Morrison, says that she wanted the reader to feel as though they are a “co-conspirator” with the rapist. She took pains to make sure she never portrayed the actions as wrong in order to show how everyone has their own problems. She even goes as far as to describe the pedophilia, rape and incest “friendly,” “innocent,” and “tender.”
It’s no wonder that this book is in the top 10 list of most contested books in the country. The Bluest Eye is the story of Pecola Breedlove, a young black girl, who prays every day for beauty: for the blond hair and blue eyes that she believes will allow her to fit in. As her life begins to disintegrate in the face of adversity and strife, such as being raped by her father and beaten by her mother, she finally appeals to Soaphead Church, a pedophile, to help her attain blue eyes. After being impregnated by her father, she loses her baby and ultimately loses her mind.
Macey France goes on to explain why this is no different than child pornography:
Using just the smallest amount of common sense we can deduce that if the book cannot be read aloud in the class, could not be viewable if it was a movie and couldn’t be played on the stereo if it was a CD, then why is it okay for it to be read and discussed; in school of all places! In fact, according to one lawyer, if the incidents in this book were a movie or a picture there would be a very clear cut case for prosecution for child pornography.

NONE of this is religiously, politically, or culturally neutral. The idea that government schooling is neutral is a full colostomy bag of s-—!
Fundamentally...Government schooling is a freedom of conscience and First Amendment abomination! No child or parent should be under police threat to use these indoctrination centers. No citizen should be under police threat to pay for it.
Following a social justice gospel is following a fake gospel and that makes them fake Christians.

Once the feds got into education (back in the 50s and 60s) it only became a matter of time until it turned into a full blown trash heap

—Will ministers and preachers tell their parishioners to remove their children? Nope. Not likely! Why? Answer: Their spouses are likely sucking a living from the souls of these government school kids. Answer: Too many members in the pews suck a living from the little souls being sent into these spiritual death camps. They are like Death Eaters. Answer: Too many ministers are willing to bite the hand putting food on their plate.
Are there good Christian and conservative teachers? Yes. Probably. These are teachers who warn every parent they meet to remove their precious children from these godless, single-payer, socialist-entitlement indoctrination camps. Do they last long in the system. Probably not. Are they given the worst assignments. Yep! Likely. Are they promoted to positions of leadership. Not likely!
When a person see a government school, they should think, “Death Eater!”
I imagine that on the days these are held, the good teachers call in sick or just avoid the areas where they’re being held. Their union membership gives them power to physically avoid it, if nothing else.
This implies that if we got the feds out of education that somehow the K-12 single-payer and socialist-entitlement schools would be fixed. They won't be!
My great grandparents were born in the 1860s and 1870s. My grandmother in 1894. My parents in 1913. These generations attended **locally** one room schools and very small neighborhood schools. They were compulsory, single-payer, and socialist-entitlement schools.
Guess what?
These generations elected the progressive Woodrow Wilson, the crypto-Marxist Franklin D. Roosevelt with his New Deal, and Lyndon B. Johnson with his Great Society. My parents, grandparents, and great grand parents thought F.D.R. walked on water and “saved the nation”!
**THAT** is what single-payer, compulsory ( police enforced), and socialist-entitlement gave the nation by the 1960s! THREE generations is all it took!
Now we have GODLESS socialist-entitlement schools and two more generations later we have a full-blown Marxist and likely usurper occupying the White House.
Bet they don’t do it. Why? Because likely there are very, very, very few “good” teachers.
Have we ever seen reports where the schools were seriously impacted on the queer Day of Silence because the teachers called in sick or the parents refused to send their kids?
Most parents can arrange a personal day occasionally. Same with teachers. Do we see them choosing to take these day on the Day of Silence? Ever? Answer: NO!
I am wondering if God is a little bit annoyed with Christians and conservative parents and teachers.
And of course you have selective history. The truth is many people thought that FDR was wonderful because of the ‘depression’ and dust bowl years (I am not suggesting even remotely that he was just that some thought so). My grandparents were born in the late 1970s and early 1880s. My parents in the early part of the 20th century. My grandmother taught in one of those one room school houses that you so despise. Paid for by dollars from the local community to educate their children. Try a McGuffey’s Reader (one for the upper grades) on for size and tell me that that has anything but solid educational material.
The fact that your parents and grandparents loved FDR says ore about them than the education in the early 20th century. My grandparents and parents disliked FDR (hated might be too unChristian a word) with a fervor and a passion only reserved for the NAZIs and commies (as they called them).
The schools I went to in the middle of the last century were indeed public schools. They taught me love of country, the fundamentals of a solid education, and how not to create straw men when I argue.
You can be angered at the current state of public education and want nothing to do with it. On the other hand the rest of your arguendo is illogical and not supported by the facts
While you may have survived the socialist-entitlement K-12 schools, look at the direction of our nation. Socialist-entitment schooling is a major factor in the demise of our culture and the Marxists drain we are circling.

Yesterday (I THINK it was yesterday) I pinged an article about public screwels in Wisconsion starting a cirriculum to teach 3rd or 4th graders about masturbation, and “everything else” including sodomy, in the 6tn grade.

The direction of our nation has been downward for MANY reasons. Do not try and tie the education system of say the 40s and 50s and before to anything like what passes for schooling these days. You obviously survived your exposure.
The decline of the family, the rise of teachers unions and government unions, the general decay in moral values and attributes come from many many sources not just public education. That is the strawman in your argument. You want to blame one thing when it started with the decline of the two parent family.
Do you directly or indirectly get a living from the K-12 socialist-entitlement schools? ( Just wondering.)
