Thanks for your reasoned response. To clarify, I did not state that she SHOULD feel guilty, but that she would feel it. For the record in my youth I was robbed 3 times, twice with a knife and once with a gun. None of those guys got ANYTHING because I was young, proud and stupid. These days if a guy pulls a gun on me and I had one of my grandkids with me they would get my wallet, even though I CCW regularly and have plenty of training and practice to use it effectively. I have no interest in starting a gunfight near my gkids if it can be avoided. If they are in danger I will defend them with my life but not for anything I can easily replace. There is no rhyme or reason why anyone would shoot a baby, the baby wasn’t being robbed. THERE IS NO EXCUSE for that unless it was hatred inspired. Whether the mother turned over the purse or not, did not warrant the death of an 13 month old. From what I can gather, the punk premeditated the event when he threaten to kill the child. It’s my understanding that she had no money in her purse. So if we treasure our children, you must always have money to give to the punks on demand.
