Cruz is indeed different from many of those he went to school with. He actually uses the intelligence that he was blessed with. He is not what I have described as a "dysron," in various articles. He is not one of normal or above average intelligence, who functions at the analytic level of a moron, because of his fears & compulsions. Again, he uses his level of intelligence as a rational man; and because it is a high level of intelligence, he is a very effective fighter for what is both morally right & unassailable in logic.
Those "dysrons," who prance around as experts on the future, may have been born with the potential to be useful in some ways; but their confusion, born in fear and/or compulsion, renders it impossible for them to ever realize even a small part of that potential.

Bob Beckel on The Five really hates him, so Cruz must be doing something right.

The partys highest-profile Texans, George W. Bush and Rick Perry, tended to match inarticulateness with cowboy swagger and lend themselves to mockery as intellectual lightweights.
Rick Perry deserves that description. George W. Bush does not. Rick Perry is a dufus at best. George W. Bush did a tremendously good job as President in VERY difficult times. Yep, he passed some junky bills and didn't fight back against negativity but he is a gentleman.

Ted Cruz may be the real deal conservatives have been waiting for. Intelligent with an unassailable educational pedigree and a record of solid accomplishment in his 43 years. Attractive, articulate and conservative without seeming the least bit threatening. He can't be effectively mocked as 'stupid' or 'extreme' because he is demonstrably neither.
The left is worried and I'm sure the RNC honchos are already trying to decide how to discourage Cruz from running for the 2016 presidential nomination or how they can sabotage him if Cruz decides to run, anyway. Unless Ted Cruz suddenly veers left he'll have my full support if he chooses to run for the 2016 GOP presidential nomination. Democrats attempting to pretend his conservative stands are faked will get nowhere because real conservatives can tell a phony who talks the talk but doesn't walk the walk. I think we may have a winner here.

Like I said...two weeks ago when Prissy Mathews said Ted Cruz was the front runner, it was code for all the knives to come out.

He’s also a listener at a time when so many of our public servants show nothing but contempt for those they serve.

I read somewhere yesterday that Cruz said Chuck Norris wears DeMint pajamas. Hahahha! I thought that was funny.

They’ve already started writing article about how he walked past the women’s dorm in his paisley robe and found a couple people who called him “creepy”. Gloria Alred will be working overtime to find some poor schlub victim whom Cruz made uncomfortable and the MSM will broadcast it nonstop.

His Senate victory is a real David vs Goliath story.
Cruz defeated the most powerful politician in Texas, (Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst), for the Texas senate seat. Dewhurst had the all the clout, money, and support of the Texas RINO machine behind him and lost to the underfunded and unknown Tea Party candidate.

I’m with ya!
Cruz is a true Constitutional Conservative who will not back down from the communists...and that puts him in the Reagan & Palin group of patriots who “get” the danger we face.

I’m believing in him, until I see anything that proves me wrong, but I feel for him.
Once he decides to run for President, the mainstream media are going to tear him to pieces. They are going to seriously hate him.

Cruz defeated the most powerful politician in Texas, (Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst), Would that be the Dewhurst that was recorded trying to influence local police to let a relative out of jail?

I have to reserve judgment...he looks like the real thing ... but then again I voted for Rubio...The first George Bush could have carried on the Reagan Revolution...he tossed it the first day... it is time for another party inside the GOP..we select a candidate to run against the RINO...Conservatives split the vote and we are stuck voting for a RINO...I will stay home next time
