Obama Administration Considers Plan to Bolster Mexico’s Southern Border

Obama administration and Mexican government officials recently discussed creating a three-tier security system designed to protect Mexico’s southern border from drug and human traffickers, according to U.S. officials.

The border control plan calls for U.S. funding and technical support of three security lines extending more than 100 miles north of Mexico’s border with Guatemala and Belize. The border security system would use sensors and intelligence-gathering to counter human trafficking and drug running from the region, a major source of illegal immigration into the United States.

This is a fulfillment of an old NWO conspiracy. Back around 2003 there were articles post here on FR talking about a North American Union between Mexico, USA and Canada for monetary and security purposes. Remember the Amero? That maybe what we end up with when (not ‘if’) the dollar collapses.

Especially when you can get a lot more fence for your money there than here.

Too, it'll be a lot easier for Obama's GOTV guys to get Mexicans into Stateside voting booths if the fence is on the other side of the Mexicans.

In other words, Mexico is entitled to border security, but we aren't.

Mexico has always been hypocritical about immigration. They imprison, deport, and sometimes worse any and all illegals from Guatemala they can catch. There's never any talk about a "path to citizenship" for these people. Yet they demand a de facto open border with the US for their surplus population.

All of this would be understandable, since you really can't blame a nation for defending its own interests. What is incomprehensible is when the US government puts the interests of another nation ahead of its own interests and its own citizens.

I have a novel idea, let Mexico protect their Southern border and let the United States protect our Southern border.

Ironically, Mexico is a lot more serious about stopping illegal immigrants at its southern border than we've been about stopping illegals coming from Mexico. You can be sure that there isn't a loud chorus of Mexican politicians demanding a path to citizenship for Guatemalan illegals, or giving stump speeches on what a blessing illegal Central American immigrants are for Mexico's economy.

When our own politicians are even dumber and more corrupt than those in Mexico, it isn't a good sign.
