San Diego Mayor Bob Filner has agreed to resign as part of a deal reached this week with city officials, NBC 7 News has learned.
Filner, spotted leaving City Hall with packing boxes Wednesday night, will formally vacate the office following a closed session of City Council Friday, according to several sources.

Does Filner have time to establish residency in NY City and run for mayor there?
He will be a great fit with disgraced New Yorkers like The Weiner and Eliot Spitzer.
Now he can be an advisor to zero’s administration, maybe even a new attorney general.
Filner is thinking to himself, “Where did I go wrong?” Look at all the other prominent democrats caught doing disgusting things and they’re still in the news and loved.

Plenty. He probably wants the city to pay for his legal bills and more. Gloria Allred’s clients are/were city employees who claim they were harassed on the job. I would prefer to keep Filner around a while and not give him a dime. Let him go bankrupt paying his own legal bills.
Looks like litigation costs including, but not limited to, potential damages from the sexual harassment lawsuit filed against him by Irene McCormack Jackson, his former director of communications.
Okay, I haven’t been following this, so I needed to make some assumptions.
The article never mentioned party, so that tells me he’s a Leftist.
But I see Gloria Allred led the charge after him, so that makes me think he was a Republican.
Which is true?
That’s a shame. I enjoy having perverted, corrupt liberals in the spotlight for as long as possible.
