I was just there in NYC in May...this is a totally bogus survey. People just mined their own business in NYC and were extremely friendly in upstate. When we asked them for anything..we got it with a smile. I can't wait to go back..in fact, I'm thinking of moving there.

Chicago, on the other-hand, was a h@LL-hole of rudeness, gun fire going off everywhere and uncaring jerks at every turn. I would like to know what the agenda is of the people putting these labels on cities...and I suggest they get out more...maybe to France.

having lived in the finger lakes region all my life - I would advise you to think otherwise - property taxes are grossly above the national average, schools for the most part are poor (excepting wealthy enclaves). Scenery is good - food is great, weather is great 8 mos of the year and hunting is exceptional - that said - gun rights blow, salt eats your car and winter is far too long and cold
