My piece here last week declaring that Americas desire to be governed by family cultures, particularly those from Massachusetts and New York, represents in all but name a return to monarchy brought some interesting responses.
Responses were widespread and there were interesting parallel events: Donna Brazile said a HIllary Clinton nomination would be a coronation like it was a good thing. James Taranto at The Wall Street Journal ran a piece titled Queen Hillary. New York Times correspondent Timothy Egan suggested Presidents should vacation outside their political comfort zones.
I claimed that a royal political family giving of a family pet to a president was at once patronizing and demeaning. It treated him like a minor or external member of the family political cult (a pet). And by accepting the animal, the president acknowledged himself to be a willing agent of the family cult. And guess what? They went out and got President Obama a new doggie, one from Michigan.
Having the distinguished political god king marry you, for instance, has the same effect. As I recall, Jefferson left that stuff up to the rabbis and preachers. Anthony Weiner was conspicuously married by Bill Clinton, which suggests that the Clinton cult was more than a family or even a fraternal bonding of friends (like the mafia), it is a kind of secular religion, i.e., a family cult, and Bill is the priest. (But will Bill perform the bris?)
This, in our time, represents de facto descent into monarchy and political cultism. It is the same with those Republicans who can think only of Jeb (and Chris Christie, the family pet solicited by Barbara Bush, other Bushes and Kissinger against Romney). This is not something that is happening to America but has already happened.....

He strikes me as a douchebag.
Scott Brown is not running for MA Governor. I didn't think he would.
I met DAmboise in a place called Dover-Foxcroft. At the 2012 caucus.
Not especially impressed with him. Dim.
Olympia gave the dullest longest rambling talk.
Bruce Poliquin spoke.
It’s neat how often in Maine all the players get in one place and you can see them all in eaction up close.
D’Ambroise “was supposed to” drop out and endorse Bruce Poliquin or Bennett over Summers. That never happens in Maine. They always let the moderate win.
The dropouts must be going Libertarian.
“The dropouts must be going Libertarian.”
I have; I don’t give a sh*t anymore.

I went to the link below and found a picture of this teacher. After careful and considerate deliberation, I have concluded that she is definitely guilty.

Wrong thread and that is the first time I have experienced this. Forgive my misplaced post.
A sex education teacher, just doing her job.
No picture so the jury is unable to render a verdict at this time.
