Media labels people’s color according to the situation and the spin they are trying to get out not according to the facts.

I was very seldom bored when I was a kid. Too many odd jobs to do.
I’m guessing that the multiple entries of Obtaining Controlled Substance by Fraud were all counts in the same charging information that resulted from an investigation of her that spanned a few months. Prescription fraud investigative units will identify a suspect, and pull their “patient profiles” from all the major pharmacies, and use that to build a case. Sometimes they will also go the to the doctors and find out they were lying about not seeing other doctors, etc...
Usually the doctors and pharmcies will cooperate with the authorities.
Not too uncommon to use the multiple prescriptions in a short time frame to show that all of them were fraudulent. They charge seven counts, then the defendant cops a plea to two or three, does a little time, and the case is closed.
A little more carefully.
Female or not (and yes, I know it’s a stretch) there is still a place in the American system of jurisprudence for the horsewhip.

I also at age 77.7 have no rap sheet.
I saw an apprentice at work one day complain the journeyman did not give him enough work. What followed, the journeyman had apprentice dig a hole from 8AM to 12noon lunch, then at 1PM fill the hole.
Apprentice never again said “I’ve nothing to do”.

Agree whole heartedly on the stocks. If we had public humiliation still in the system we may not be where we are now. Use the horsewhip for a second offense.
