They keep saying a DNA swab kit was found because it’s on the warrant list, but what that means is a swab kit was used in the collection of evidence and the swabbings have to be listed, same as the stain collection kits also listed.

So then this crack team of police investigators left their SDPD certified DNA Swab Kit in the burned out vehicle and were then dumb enough to list it as evidence collected at the scene???

They get the day of the cheerleading practice wrong and don't figure it out for two weeks.

They see a picture of the two of them at a border checkpoint at midnight and assume that to mean they are headed to Idaho even though Mexico is south and Idaho is north.

They still don't have the time of death for the mother -- what's the problem there.

The two of them are still using phones on the way to Idaho that Hannah says had been burned up in the fire.

No wonder they want to close this investigation as soon as possible -- they have bungled the investigation and have been played by a 16 year old girl.

Have you read many warrants? The type of kits used are listed as part of the evidence seized because whatever is collected by their use is as yet unknown.

So this warrant lists two stain collection kits and 1 DNA swab kit as having been used to collect evidence.

As for the checkpoint picture, consultation with google maps indicates that the checkpoint was 20 miles or so northwest of his home, which is why they assumed he went north to ID.

The final autopsy report release is pending until the toxicology reports are done.
