Very interesting. Still doesn't add up to me.

Still doesn't add up - but I had assumed there were other issues there.
Had the same feeling about that older case in Utah (?) where the father killed the wife (body never found, had taken his boys camping on a whim that same night in the cold), then the two kids a while later - turned out there were all types of strange stuff going on with the dude's father and his wife.
Not saying that's what is going on here, just that there is somethng below the surface.

Apparently the DiMaggio family does not trust the police to do even a rudimentary investigation and they just might be right.

They are going to fight each other now for 112K? Really now it’s not that much.

A representative for the Anderson family appeared to shoot down the theory. "Brett and Tina Anderson did not meet Mr. DiMaggio until the sixth month of Tina's pregnancy with Hannah. Brett Anderson's DNA was used to identify the body of his dead son Ethan Anderson," the family statement said.DiMaggio was Best Man at their wedding. Was Hannah born before or after the wedding???

Hannah Anderson's father was not kidnapper DiMaggio, family says
The family of Hannah Anderson responded Wednesday to suggestions that the man who kidnapped the Lakeside teenager may have been her biological father, saying her parents met James DiMaggio when her mother was pregnant.
Stacy Hess, a spokeswoman for the Anderson family, released a statement to The Times via email.
"Brett and Tina Anderson met Mr. DiMaggio when Tina was in her sixth month of pregnancy with Hannah,"

Ya had to wonder when this was going to happen. There had to be SOME reason why the perp was so close to the family.
