IMHO this is Ted Cruz’s defining moment... an opportunity make his name based on this fight. Judging from his behavior, he has fully grasped this.

We’re past blinking Cruz, the RINO’s are grasping their ankles.
In October 2007, I sat in the media gallery of the United States Supreme Court and watched the Solicitor General of Texas [Ted Cruz] argue on behalf of the state that he should have the ability to put to death a Mexican national who had been convicted of raping and murdering two teenage girls in Houston. He won that argument and he was executed by Texas on August 5th, 2008, despite the objections of the United Nations and the International Court of Justice. At the time, I had no idea who this man arguing on behalf of Texas was. but all I could think was holy c**p, this guy is good. It was one of his nine times arguing before the Supreme Court and he was witty, incredibly fast on his feet and clearly had a brilliant legal mind. It is to this day one of the most impressive displays I have ever seen before the Court and I have had the good fortune to spend a lot of time there.
My attitude toward “non-essential” government functions is simple. If they are non-essential, it shouldn’t be doing them anyway, and the Government can function fine without.
I guess Ted Cruz doesn’t realize the GOP is on the other side.
The gop faction of the uniparty won’t blink. They’ll go ahead and make sure owebamacare is implemented on schedule. They’re just as anxious to implement it as the ‘rat faction is.
I’d dearly love to be proven wrong.
Why the hell doesn’t Cruz get the word out that under the HEALTH care law,Bureaucrats can show up at your home and demand to come in to inspect it,BECAUSE you may be a smoker,have a weapon,homeschool your children,are a VETERAN! Dear Mr. Boehner:
I received an email from you today requesting a contribution from me for the NRCC.
Neither you nor your organization will receive a penny from me, unless you lead the charge for the House to successfully vote in favor of defunding Obamacare.
The time to tackle this problem is now. If it doesn’t get done now, I fear it never will be.
I expect courage, conviction, and character from our representatives, and this is the ultimate test to see if you really have these attributes.
