An airman who was relieved of his duties after he told his commanding officer that he could not support gay marriage has filed a formal complaint with the military alleging he is the victim of religious discrimination.
Senior Master Sgt. Monk, a 19-year veteran of the Air Force was punished after he disagreed with his commander when she wanted to severely reprimand an instructor who had expressed religious objections to homosexuality.
I was relieved of my position because I dont agree with my commanders position on gay marriage, Monk told Fox News. Weve been told that if you publicly say that homosexuality is wrong, you are in violation of Air Force policy.
The Liberty Institute filed a formal complaint against Major Elisa Valenzuela on behalf of the Christian airman.
Major Valenzuela asked SMSgt. Monk if he could agree with her belief that openly voicing a religious or moral opposition to same-sex marriage is discrimination, the official complaint reads. Because of SMSgt. Monks sincerely held religious belief, he could not agree with the major. As a direct result, Major Valenzuela immediately relieved SMSgt. Monk from his First Sergeant duties and reassigned him to a different unit.
Monk was also banned from returning to his units building and required special permission to retrieve his personal belongings.
Liberty Institute attorney Michael Berry said the majors actions are a violation of the law....

Sounds like a workplace incident. Nothing to see here.
shouda kept his mouth shut for 1 more year.
Along with recordings.
What about Muslim opposition to gays? I bet no one cares about that, only Christians.
Yea, to bad he chose to practice his moral values ...
Going against a two pointer (possibly 3 pointer) he doesn’t have a chance.
He was reassigned to another unit, he’s still in the Air Force.
FUCH for being one of Barry's butt boys.
He should get every FR’s support!

The Only Thing Necessary for the Triumph of Evil is that Good Men Do Nothing
Just like the military/political complex....”Nothing to see here. Move along. We can’t be prosecuting gays for being an ass, and seeking retribution for not having her lifestyle endorsed by a subordinate.”
DoD has long ago been turned into a social engineering incubator, with the clear intent of undermining our military effectiveness and the broader culture.
Seems like here at FR wussy brass gets despised for allowing this to go on in the military (civilians who are ultimately in charge sure don’t have the gonads for it) and, yet, when a 19 year guy with credibility takes it on Freepers call him a s muck for sticking his neck out
He didn’t get separated. If they try to take away a 19 year guy’s retirement over this kind of thing it will look a lot different from this.
When people in this country start figuring out that we can not ride on the coattails of the accomplishments of our forefathers, such as defeating Hitler and getting guys to the Moon and back, it will also look different
It will look like this guy taking a risk for a most noble cause
And it’s not about hatred of anyone and certainly not about homosexuals. It’s about what’s always worked just don’t ask don’t tell and don’t harass- both sides

Major Valenzuela knows nothing of command.
Good men did nothing when the first farming laws were passed. Good men did nothing to represent Miller the second time.
We’re done
So......98% of muslims should be kicked out of the military, then.
No, they get an exemption, just like Obamacare and polygamy.
She’ll probably be a major general by 2017.
2016.
