The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention posted a video on its website to provide the definition of environmental justice, specifically when it comes to communities. The health of a community suffers when people dont have access to healthy homes, healthy food, transportation, fresh air and safe neighborhoods, the narrator stated in the video. She is Dr. LaToria Whitehead, who works in CDCs Healthy Homes and Lead Poisoning Prevention Branch. Im also an environmental justice specialist, Whitehead said. No one is denied access per se, if you can not afford an apartment, alone or with a group, there are homeless shelters.
If you choose to live on the street instead of any of the alternatives, well, there's the choice you made.

This is true. Why just last weekend, 34 people in Chicago suffered from lead poisoning, and 6 of them died.
