Fast-food workers call for nationwide walkout Aug. 29

Emboldened by an outpouring of support on social media, low-wage fast-food and retail workers from eight cities who have staged walkouts this year are calling for a national day of strikes Aug. 29.

Start your own fast food restaurant. Pay your starting, entry level employees $15 an hour, and quickly increase the salary as employees develop skills and abilities. Provide health insurance. Provide retirement plans. Guarantee 40 hour work weeks.

Charge $30 for a basic, small hamburger.

I’ve gotten to where I can’t eat out anymore. Not because of the “healthiness” of the food, but I just can’t trust the people handling my food. If for any reason, one crazy employee can put crap in your food. And literally mean crap.

They get caught on tape all the time.

Thanks, but I can cook my own burger my self under 12 bucks. Just brought a value pack ground beef which will enable me to make about 5 paties. I got my bread, lettuce, tomato, pickles and I’m happy.

I can easily live without fast food.

I only use it when traveling and can easily plan ahead, go to the grocery store and make a travel box of calories and stick a couple of cold drinks in a small cooler.
