Commentators on Egyptian TV have welcomed the arrest of the Muslim Brotherhood's general guide, Mohammed Badie.
Presenters congratulated viewers on the development, calling it "joyful news", and one expert argued that it had dealt a heavy blow to the Islamist group.

Assume that Obama is a Muslim and a Marxist. Once you do that you will see that he has a coherent Middle Eastern foreign policy: He wants to see that almighty Caliphate established and he is doing everything in his power to help bring it about. Support for the Muslim Brotherhood is a natural consequence of that worldview.
I would welcome some evidence to the contrary. But I don't think there is any.
Agreed.
The name says it all.....
Question for fellow FReepers....
Is a "general guide" ...
1. A Community Organizer
Or
2. An Obamacare Navigator...
3. A “Nudge” expert
Absolutely correct. Obama has been removing secular dictators and pushing Islamists and transnational terrorists to pave the wave for the Muslim dream of the Greater Caliphate. Obama is largely responsible for the bloodshed in Libya, Egypt, Syria, Mali, and it is spreading. Ironically, it fell to the French to save the day in Mali.
Who named this guy? His mother? Sounds like a villain out of Charles Dickens (Havarsham, Pockets). Or, Atlas Shrugged (Mouch)
With a name like that we get to play Cowboys and Islamics.

So he comes down on the Sunni side of the Sunni/Shiite split? I ask because the Caliphate will not be created without one of the sects achieving dominance. I wonder if Valerie Jarett, born and raised in Iran, has a favorite side in this dispute.
That is a good question. Jarrett is a natural Shia while Obama is, at least functionally, Sunni. I have wondered about this myself.
OTOH, in a dispute between Sunni and Shia I have to believe the Sunnis win. More land, more governments, more wealth, more population.
It could be that this logic is accepted by Jarrett and so her support for a Sunni led Caliphate might not be her first choice but it would, in her view, beat having those evil Christians dominating the Middle East.
“Muslim Brotherhood’s general guide, Mohammed Badie.
The name says it all.....”
I think so too. Did you ever notice the capital of Pakistan is Islamabad? I couldn’t agree more.
