I can’t see Palin choosing to move to DC unless she could make a huge difference. Whether she can team up with Paul and Cruz in the Senate to wrest control from McCain and Graham, that might not be a bad thing and - you may recall - the current White House occupant was also a senator for an embarrassingly small time period without the experience of governor so I don’t see a win in 2014 preventing her from a run in 2016.

Still, a loss probably kicks her out of political office for good and I’m betting this is what the GOP-e really wants.

She’s already been a governor, mayor, energy commission chairwoman and city council member, as well as small business owner, high-paid public speaker and media personality (both sportscaster and political analyst). That’s a much more in-depth resume than Mr. Obama sported in 2008.
