Sybrina Fulton, Trayvon Martins mother, made it clear on Meet the Press Sunday that she has turned her grief over the death of her son into action to stop racial profiling and Stand-your-Ground laws around the country.
Were going to all 21 states with stand your ground laws to make some change, Fulton said to David Gregory, and while it wont happen overnight, were in it for the long haul. This is part of my life now.
Fulton appeared on Meet the Press after NYPD Chief Ray Kelly defended Stop-and-Frisk, a practice that a federal judge determined violated the constitution and discriminated against minorities, who make up 90% of the stops.
You have to give, not only civilians, but police officers, the right direction, Fulton said. You cant give the authority, whether its a civilian or a police officer, the right to stop somebody just because of the color of their skin.
When it comes to changing policies related to how young people of color are treated in America, Martin family attorney Benjamin Crump called for people to vote in the midterm elections and to lobby legislators to amend Stand Your Ground laws.
Trayvon voters have a clear cause: capturing the passion over the devastating verdict returned in the trial of George Zimmerman and transforming these feelings into actions that can and will make a difference, Crump wrote in an op-ed in the Washington Post....

Im profiling her as we speak...
O my do I need glasses? Is this CHILD beginning to grow a beard?
Trayvon wasn’t racially profiled, but this propaganda campaign has been in the works far too long to let little things like facts stand in the way.
You sure that is a he?
The ironic fact is that profiling and tougher measures against young, black males would prevent many of them from getting themselves killed. There is a percentage of young, black males (20-30%) who are basically feral and have come of age with no traits or skills that can benefit society. They are a net drag on America. These feral, young males have to be shown, forcibly if necessary, that the country will no longer tolerate their criminal behavior. Tough measures now will leave the majority of them better off in the future.

$abrina has gone from a nobody to Big $$$$$$, all due to her son’s behavior. Her life from now on is ka-ching ka-ching, ka-ching. The $$$$ will keep flowing in. They turned her into a goldmine.
We just had a armed robbery not far from our home. Perpetrators were black and wearing hoodies!
What’s not to profile here?
Hey — stop robbing and wearing hoodies while you do it, and we’ll stop profiling!!

sorry double post ...site acting weird.
I was referring to my post #28 of Trayvons body and using Amy Winehouse as an example. Trayvon has cocaine up his nose as Amy does, he was doing drugs. This is why he was paranoid and attacked Zimmerman.
What organization is paying for her travel? Follow the dinero!
That was the first thing I thought when I saw this quote:
Were going to all 21 states..."
I asssume that's not her version of Zero's 57 states.
asssume=assume
asssume=assume
I think there needs to be a social movement to prohibit using one’s race to impede the enforcement of law and order.
Whatever. I’m all Trayvoned out.
She and the young man’s (No, Trayvon was no longer a boy.) father sent him 250 miles away from his home town, and the place of their residence, after he had been expelled from the Miami-Dade district’s high school. Now she wants to use her deceased son to push a notion to which his death bore no connection.
