How to Make Mark Levin's Vision of Constitutional Reform a Reality
American Thinker ^ | August 16, 2013 | Jeffrey W. Barrett

But fortunately for Levin (and us all), there is a solution to the runaway convention problem, and his "natural allies" could find reason to hop on his Article 5 bandwagon. There is a group based in Washington DC of highly influential constitutionalists who call themselves the Madison Coalition and who have found a workable solution to afford states the right to propose single Constitutional amendments while avoiding the dangers of a runaway convention. The first article in the nation to report on the Madison Coalition was published on these pages. Very briefly, the Coalition's strategy is to first have the states draft carefully crafted legislation that would eliminate the possibility of the delegates in an Article 5 convention from "going rogue."

Mr Levin is one of our second set of Founding Fathers. Rush is also one.

Just think what a blast it would be, at the end of the congressional session, for the Capitol Police to come into the chamber and say, “I’m sorry Congressman/Senator, but your 12 years of service are up and you must leave.”

Better than a perp walk!

Constitutional Attorney Michael Farris was on Huckabee this evening the website conventionofstates.com. Problem is, it is under water right now probably due to too much traffic. I am sure they will work this out. Everything is supposed to be there as far as instructions are concerned. Legislative contacts are already underway and they are asking for volunteers to contact your state legislators. I am going to wait until I can logon on the website for specific instructions, but this is the most exciting news I have heard in a long time. this government is scaring the hell out of me and it is time to pull in the reins.

Thank you, Hostage. It’s well past time we get the word out on the TRUE and CORRECT terms of the Constitution.
The amendment convention process has been likened to an hysterical, ranting moonbat meeting for years.
While an amendment convention may have to wade through a lot of crazy crap, there still needs to be 2/3 to pass and 3/4 to ratify.
The fear mongers on the left will do and say anything to keep this from happening.

It’s time to take back the country. This is a great place to start.

I saw Levin on Hannity last night, and I agree with his ideas. If there is going to be a return to our republican form of government, it has to start in the states. But...Congress, the Obammunist, and the federal courts will never honor any kind of Constitutional process, because the Constitution is dead to them. They don't obey it now, so why should they obey it when a bunch of uppity states tell them to?

When 2/3 of the states get together and decide to collectively tell DC to kiss their a**es, then we'll be getting somewhere. None of this crap of getting 2/3 of the states to pass amendments, then sending delegates to Congress, hat in hand, to try to get them to play along. Form the coalition of states, draft a proclamation saying "We the People of the undersigned states do hereby declare to the national government in Washington DC, that we will not abide by the following un-Constitutional laws:" then list them. Then make a list of the un-Constitutional departments, agencies, administrations, bureaus, directorates, and offices that won't be obeyed because they aren't specifically mentioned in Articles 1-3. Then do the same for treaties, EOs, Presidential Decision Directives, and any other rule by fiat. Then lay copies on the desks of the Obammunist, John Boner, Hemorrhoid Reid, and Benedict Arnold Roberts.

Yeah, I know where that will lead, but we're headed there anyway, so we might as well find out who our friends are beforehand.

Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!

But there is nothing democratic about the RATs.

You’re WRONG.. Like I said few know NOT what democracy “IS”...
The democrats and the democrat party is EXACTLY democracy..
Democracy is Mob Rule (by mobsters).. Gang and tribal mentality’s.. forcing submission..
No problem with a Chief, Satrap, or Witch Doctor(or President[King or Queen]) ruling.. (the mob)

They are comfortable with “the MOB”... i.e. Mafia..
Sometimes they prefer a different Mob but if its a Mob they be happy..
Whether minority or majority they prefer the MAFIA..
As drones in the collective they feel needed..

All democracys are this way.. France, England, Germany, Canada, China, Russia.. drones in the collective..
Only thing better to most of them is a World Wide Collective.. a new world order..

Democracy is the road to socialism. -Karl Marx

Democracy is indispensable to socialism.
The goal of socialism is communism. -V.I. Lenin

The meaning of peace is the absence of opposition to socialism .-Karl Marx

making a “then what” plan now in the current environment may not be applicable once things drastically change. better to work with what we know now, and adapt as needed

Well, actually a real “democracy” would require all citizens to vote on every bit of state business, there would be no legislature....of course, most wouldn’t bother.

A better characterization that sticks with the kids is:

Democracy is two wolves and a chicken deciding what’s for dinner.

A Republic is where the Chicken has a gun.

******************************

The founders knew in the 18th and 19th centuries from the tomes of the history of western civilization, from ancient Greece to the rise and fall of Rome, that democracy always ALWAYS leads to tyranny. It always fails, why?

Because democratic societies end up voting for those who feed them and when the food stops, revolution ensues usually under the guise of a ‘Strong Man With A Plan’, in other words the tyrant waiting in the wings.

A republic is the best bet to preserve the rights of the individual against the oppressive force of a bought and paid for majority.

What if we DO get some(or all) of these Amendments passed and the then Illegitimate Federal Govt flips us the “bird” and refuses to leave, then WHAT do we do?!

Initially, "we" stop paying taxes.

That's not as easy as it sounds, because taxes are taken out of our paychecks by businesses and handed over to the federal government. That's one of Levin's amendments, to stop that practice and make us all pay our taxes directly on the day before election day.

Back back to the point...

If we were to stop paying taxes, we'd need the cooperation of our employers to do so. I don't know how that would work, given that many employers are public corporations regulated by the SEC. It would be a bold national step to stop feeding the federal beast.

But if it were to happen, then I'd assume that the intransigent feds would resort to arms to begin mass arrests to force us to pay our taxes. There aren't enough jail cells to hold us and Wesley Snipes, so the rest of the world would take note of the collapse of law and order in this country, and the world would then descend into chaos.
