Five decades after President John F. Kennedy was fatally shot and long after official inquiries ended, thousands of pages of investigative documents remain withheld from public view. The contents of these files are partially known -- and intriguing -- and conspiracy buffs are not the only ones seeking to open them for a closer look.

Oswald barely qualified as marksman when he was in the Marine Corps. The mail order 6.5 Carcano rifle that he used was extremely unreliable, especially since the scope was loose and wobbly. And three NRA rifle experts could not duplicate the shot.

I think you’re overreaching. Oswald was no doubt in a heightened state of awareness compared to the others in the picture, he would have been of necessity very tense and may have seen the gun before the shot was fired so his reaction to the pain would have been much faster than the other people’s reaction to the sound. The camera caught the image at the precise moment just before the others reacted.
