Pole vault great Yelena Isinbayeva condemned homosexuality Thursday after criticizing fellow competitors who painted their fingernails in rainbow colors to support gays and lesbians in the face of a new anti-gay law in Russia.
The Russian, who won her third world title Tuesday in front of a boisterous home crowd, came out in favor of the law which has drawn sharp criticism and led Western activists to call for a boycott of next year's Winter Olympics in the Russian resort of Sochi.
"If we allow to promote and do all this stuff on the street, we are very afraid about our nation because we consider ourselves like normal, standard people," Isinbayeva, a two-time Olympic champion, said in English. "We just live with boys with woman, woman with boys.
"Everything must be fine. It comes from history. We never had any problems, these problems in Russia, and we don't want to have any in the future."

If she ever wanted to emigrate to the USA, I could imagine the immigration will deny her entry under the pretense of being a terrorist. Gays think anyone who doesn’t approve of their sin is terrorism. Gays will go out and smear her. During my college days, I attended a diversity forum. A gay activist was on the panel. He said, “If people are going to oppress our rights, then their private lives are fair game and should be made public”.
Don't know if I'll make it skiing next winter but if so wouldn't it be great to have a Russian tri-color flag emblem on my ski helmet?

Long live Elena, indeed!
heh. I knew people would search out her pics, thus relieving me of the chore of posting them!
LOL!
What could be more insane than "celebrating" sodomy? Yet, here we are.
When you think of the fate of Sodom, you have to wonder.
Ne pizdi.
No chore. It was a labor of love.
This last May, I was visiting Kiev, Ukraine for a few days. Early on a Saturday morning, I took a taxi to the airport. My driver was about thirty and spoke almost fluent English. His name was Vitroly. He was very curious about America and was interested in what I had to say about current conditions.
We soon encountered roadblocks in downtown Kiev on the usual route to the airport. I asked him what was going on. He said there were protests planned for that day that were anti-gay in nature. He said the Ukrainians do not tolerate deviant behavior and wanted to make a statement to their Parliament that they better not condone it. There must of been around 1.000 people involved that I could see.
Vitroly then went on to say he couldn’t understand why a man would want to be intimate with another man when there are sooooo many beautiful women in Ukraine (I’ll vouch for that). And women far outnumber the men in Ukraine. He then took out a picture of his wife of five years and asked me why he would even think of being with a man. I looked at the picture and I said I could not agree more with him as his wife was absolutely stunning.
As I have discovered over the last several years, the eastern European countries still value tradition and families. They will vehemently defend that. If the homosexuals want to take an in-your-face approach there, they may be in for a big surprise.
By the way, Vitroly hopes to immigrate to the U.S., legally, in a few years. I think he would be a great addition.
LOL...
Lets see, track and field vs friends...
Friends vs tack and field...
See you in two weeks friends!
I believe you are confusing terms here... not a "pole vaulter", but a "pole smoker".

What a nice story.
I find myself in the same boat. I feel like I’m supporting evil when I follow my belief in “Buying American”.
Meanwhile, the Olympic Committee is making ready for the polesmoking championships.
I'm a boy, I'm a boy!

Pole smoker and sitter. Biathlete.
I forgot about this thread. Thanks for bringing it back.
