Old and busted: The only thing wrong with ObamaCare is Republican sabotage! New hotness: We have to fix the problems with ObamaCare as we go along! Consider this an extension of Nancy Pelosi’s famous sales pitch for the program, “We have to pass the bill to find out what’s in it.” In this case, Obama confidante David Axelrod argues that we have to impose the law before we can find out where it’s broken:
Axelrod was asked on MSNBCs Morning Joe whether in the wake of delays and changes to Obamacare there would be more tweaking moving forward.
I have to believe thats going to be the case, Axelrod said. Any time you implement something like this, its new and theres no doubt that its complicated, there will be changes along there should be changes along the way.
CNBC has a different take on the latest delay leaked out of the Obama administration:
Obamacare might not be a “train wreck,” but the wheels sure do keep coming off of it.
Yet another delay in a key part of the Affordable Care Act gave critics more ammunition and raised further questions about the Obama administration’s authority to delay implementing sections of the law without congressional approval.
The delaywhich came to light Tuesday and relates to limits on out-of-pocket medical costsalso inflamed a leading patients’ rights organization that originally backed Obama’s efforts to reform health insurance. The controversy comes less than 50 days before new ACA state health exchanges begin signing up uninsured individuals on Oct. 1.
“This is very cynical and shameless what the administration is doing here,” Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, told CNBC.com as he renewed calls for Congress to defund Obamacare. “To amend the statute you’re supposed to be required to get legislation, and they didn’t do that.”
Notice too, that despite the inability to protect private data in the exchanges and the inability to confirm income data to control fraud in subsidy payments, the White House refuses to delay and fix the individual mandate, or to work with Congress on statutory fixes rather than unconstitutional edicts. “Fixes” require working with Congress to change laws, not refusals to abide by laws in hope that no one notices that the Obama administration’s “fixes” all favor businesses at the expense of consumers — ahead of the 2014 midterm elections.
Axelrod’s right that there should be “changes” along the way. Voters can make some of those in 15+ months.
Like I said, they’re making this sh!t up as they go along.
The open-ended interpretation of Obamacare enables this.....if the law doesn't contain a particular provision, no problem. They just make it up as they go along.
Such is the case that involves the winning Oklahoma lawsuit....... The court rejected the federal governments argument that Oklahoma lacked standing to challenge the law, allowing us to proceed with this pivotal case, Were optimistic the court will recognize what states have known for months that the IRS disregarded the law by making the large employer mandate effective in Oklahoma or in any of the 33 other states without a state health care exchange.
REFERENCE Oklahoma challenged implementation of the Affordable Care Act after the IRS finalized a rule that would allow the federal government to punish large employers, including local government, with millions of dollars in tax penalties in states without state health care exchanges, which is not allowed under the health care law.
Congress provided a choice for Oklahoma and other states in implementation of the health care law, and the IRS is attempting to take that away by rule, General Pruitt said.
The administration miscalculated how many states would support this law, so now theyre using the IRS to push through provisions that Congress did not pass."
"Who, me worry? I got so much federal money stashed
offshore, me and Michele can buy this Vineyard dump
ten times over."
"And besides, I aint planning to leave office---so get over
it. I got in by voter fraud before and I'll do it again."
"What Republican Party?"
“Hey, well fix ObamaCare as it rolls out”
Would any one in their right mind even buy a f^%$ing car produced like THAT?
The supporters of ACA are more like carnie barkers all the time.
Every time one of them opens his/her mouth...their low opinion of American voters is laughably apparent! Had everyone enough yet???
My putting has suddenly gone sour. Suffering from the “yips”. Any chance ObamaCare pays for the suffering?
By that, you should be as comforted as a John who is told by his prostitute that she has AIDS, but that we’ll fix it as it rolls out.
You'll soon be broke and will have to sell the car.
Why not bypass all this crap and just sell the car and get a decently built replacement?
Health Care in America is now whatever Barack Obama gets out of bed and decrees it to be.
Doesn’t pass the legal requirements. It is marginally ruled “constitutional”. Mucking about with the legislation/tax without proper protocol is invalid.
By hook or by crook, the socialists will put us in chains. FUJoeBiden.
Correct! Obamacare is just a step towards the original goal: complete federal takeover of the health care sector through a “Single Payer” system. Obamacare is so horrible, that the Sheeple will be clamoring for something else. The only constitutional solution is for Federal Govt. out of it 100%.
I'd call them very rich whores well deserving of being hung by a rope and dangling from a tree branch for all to see. Maybe that message would actually mean something to those folks. The drug cartels use that sort of tactic all the time and it seems to work well for them.
That is precisely what I am afraid of. The term "fix" to Obama's band of commies means something entirely different from what it means to me.
And Republicans are saying basically the same thing as Axelrod.....DC has its marching orders fer sure!
Really? Funny, but fixing the health care "problems" as we went along (i.e. addressing one issue at a time) wasn't satisfactory.
