Bayit Yehudi MK Ayelet Shaked has released a scathing open letter to US Secretary of State John Kerry, for pushing the Israeli government to release convicted terrorist murderers.

In the letter, Shaked—who recently called for the death penalty to be implemented for terrorists—wrote that: “In light of the current situation that you have brought about, I feel that I cannot be bound by the restraints of ‘politically correct’ wording, and I therefore will allow myself to convey my following message to you in the most straightforward fashion.” …

“Mr. Secretary: the price of releasing over a hundred convicted murderers will be borne by my family and my people, not by you,” she continued, asking “How will you carry the burden of the terrible price toward which you are leading us?” …

Kerry, Obama, and the State Dept do not care.

Jews, Christians and Americans mean NOTHING to them
compared to the Moslem Brotherhood, and the smell
of burning innocent flesh in the morning that they crave.

Sometimes I just wish Kerry would stay at home...we’d all be better off. But then I remember Kerry’s wife and I totally understand why he’s on the road all the time.

As one who has long supported Netanyahu, I’m not going to criticize his decision to release Palestinian terrorists. However, I do wonder why he didn’t insist on getting Gilad Shalit freed as part of the deal.

Supporting someone does not entail not being critical of him. Sometimes support means putting him on the right track when he veers off.

Kerry to Bayit Yehudi MK Ayelet Shaked:

Do you know who I am?!

Posed not as a question, but as a threat.

Valid point..but what I meant was that there may be reasons why he felt it was worth doing...that we're not privy to..

Heck, maybe Mossad has managed to turn one, or more of the prisoners...so you hide them in plain sight..could become a valuable source of future intelligence on the terrorists

“How will you carry the burden of the terrible price toward which you are leading us?”

Easy. IMO, Kerry and his boss, not so crazy about Joos.

I’m sure that somehow Ariel Sharon was also bamboozled into thinking surrendering Gaza was “worth doing”. No, this is not about something we are not privy to, and Israel will get nothing out of it except more grief.

I fear, sadly.. you may be correct. Bet most Israelis now wish they’d held onto the Sinai..

As far as the Sinai goes, that now is playing host to as many Egyptian troops as there were prior to the Six Day War.

The decision to release terrorist murderers is not Netanyahu's alone and despite the fact that each of these scum should have been executed long ago, I can't fault Netanyahu for the following reasons:

1) EVERY Israeli Prime Minister since the Oslo Death Process in 1992 has agreed and bowed to US pressure to do things that no sane Israeli politician should have done, time and time again. There's a reason for this but we, in the public are not privy to US/European arm-twisitng going on behind closed doors that the Israelis have to endure on and off again.

2) Israel elected Left, Center and Right wing governments for the last 21 years with the hope of TRYING to influence the PLO that they are willing to do just about anything for ...peace. Nothing works because the PLO want to end the “Occupation” or the Israeli Jewish presence in that land, for good! That's what they PROMISE their own people. A people used to hearing that kill all the Jews mantra since 1948 will kill their leader if he delivers anything less.

3) The PLO/HAMAS rejected every single offer or compromise since 1947 because in their language and mentality, there can be no such thing, look at Egypt yesterday.

4) Israel has to show that it supports one of the few “moderate” Arab leaders left. Even though Abbas is a Holocaust denying terrorist from yesteryear.

5) Israel has given up tangible assets time and time again for empty words and it is a vicious cycle we seem to have to repeat again.

6) Just as US Foreign Policy demonstrates a complete lack of understanding what the F-— is really going on in reality, so it must be that the State Dept. and WH must regurgitate the same old plans and concepts because they are incapable (apparently) of thinking up a realistic scheme.

7) Netanyahu and all the other Prime Ministers before him must bow down and sacrifice more Jews just in order to show that they are a good sport and will play pretend ball.

8) More Jews will die as a result and Netanyahu will be just as culpable as Rabin, Peres, Barak, Olmert and Sharon.

ALL TRIED to work out a deal in many different arenas and time periods. All relinquished something for nothing and now we are in another absurd cycle of releasing murderers just in order to sit down with the PLO. Where will it end? Methinks it must be similar to what we see unfolding throughout the Arab Spring, either US or THEM.

I don’t think so. I used to patrol Sinai in the late 70’s.Could see Suez canal without binoculars. It wasn’t enough manpower to patrol every corner.

Most of the troops concentrated near Gaza and Sharm El Sheikh.

Technology is far different, and better today...Israel could seal it off today..

I visited Israel in early 1969..I was stationed in Spain, and made friend with two jr attaches at the Israeli embassy.they invited me when then went home on leave..we toured the Golan Heights..which Israel has captured..I stopped counting destroyed Syrian tanks and vehicles at 250..

The problem is not Egyptian army bur a small groups of terrorists. Technology is great.Israelis can use drones but, in many instances, it is partially effective. There is possibility to build a fence( about 180mi. of it) but the price would be astronomical.
