Missouri officials say they will look into whether school district employees engaged in "offensive conduct or remarks" in a controversial state fair rodeo skit.
Missouri State Fair officials have banned a rodeo clown for life from the fair for the skit in which he wore a Barack Obama mask and taunted a bull. The state fair commission apologized Sunday for the clown's performance at the taxpayer-funded state fair in Sedalia.
Mark Ficken resigned Tuesday as president of the Missouri Rodeo Cowboy Association after fair officials fired the clown for what it called "disrespectful" treatment of the president.
Ficken, who was the public address announcer at Saturday's event, is also superintendent of the Boonville School District. He has disputed media reports he delivered lines that fair officials said were "inappropriate and disrespectful, and [did] not reflect the opinions or standards of the Missouri State Fair."
Ficken contends he only delivered the single statement, "Watch out for that bull Obama!" as a warning to the clown that the bull was approaching.
In a statement, the Boonville School District said it "will not tolerate racially inflammatory statements by its District employees" and it has taken steps to hire an outside investigator, The (St. Louis) Riverfront Times reported Wednesday.

Do not mock il douchebag.
Hey MO... I will NEVER set foot in your state again... never. I did do business there... no more.
Who needs a clown in a phony mask when we already have Obama?
Yes, we might ask why every woman in the US isn’t incensed to her core about this?
Here’s the answer. It’s spiritual. When the demons of hell warp the spiritual landscape by obscuring God’s light and love, weird substitutes for love spring up in the place of God’s love and they are hotly defended because they are fragile. This progressive spiritual deterioration and resulting destruction is the paradigm that God set up to occur when His light is obstructed. It is also called God’s wrath; this behavior under these circumstances is built by God into the creation.
Anyhow, demons don’t attack everything equally. They focus in on strategic targets.
Good news: they can’t outfox God who has already outflanked them with Jesus who takes the wrath on Himself and enables us to be forgiven, instantly, when we go to God’s arms for it.
Missourians are making fools of themselves.
Instead of laughing at a good joke they are showing their cowardice.
Surely the native Missourians are not as fearful as these clowns that call themselves leaders, who fear America’s freedoms.
I expect Missouri to investigate and punish anyone in the crowd who laughed or cheered. Can they order everyone in the stands to take sensitivity classes?
Maybe they will order everyone in the state to take sensitivity classes.
I have had experience with sensitivity classes.
In my experience they sent in a racist black woman to tell me how insensitive I was, That lasted about 10 minutes till I walked out.
This is all a distraction from the Benghazi cover up. These people have deception and manipulation down to a science.
Where IS the guy who wore the Bush clown costume?
Why on earth is is OK to bash one President and not another?
If “O’s” skin is SO thin, he’s in the wrong business!
I hope every conservative, and every other person in Missouri who has any sense, will boycott the rodeo from now on. I doubt they can keep it going with just left wingers buying tickets.
All cowboys should refuse to participate in the rodeo next year.
This skit has been around since the 1960s. I worked rodeos in 1968 and saw it often, when Lyndon Johnson was the butt of the jokes.
TELL THEM HOW YOU REALLY FEEL! I have!
0bama - all hat and no cows
TELL THEM HOW YOU REALLY FEEL! I have!
This skit has been around since the 1960s when Lyndon Johnson was the dummy. I worked rodeos then and saw it often.
How the skit works.
Rodeo clowns work in teams. One yells he is going to bring out a dummy for the bulls to hit, he then drags out the dummy, often with the mask of a current politician, and props it up with a broomstick.
When the bull come out, often the bull will buck away from the dummy.
The the next bull and rider may buck toward the dummy in which the dummy jumps to life, grabs the broomstick, whops the bull on the butt, and runs for the fence with the bull after him. This gives a thrown rider a chance to get away in the opposite direction.
The audience always loves it.
We lost control of the language long ago, folks....
Do you mind terribly if I steal this?
of course not
Thanks.
That’s a good place to bump this sickening thread.
