The man whose anti-Muslim film was wrongly cited for sparking protests that led to the Benghazi debacle doesnt hold a grudge against the U.S. government, although he was shocked at how it all played out and is working on a book about his experience.
Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, speaking to CNNs Jake Tapper after his release from prison, says the Obama administration acted irresponsibly in initially linking the deadly terror attack last September 11 on the U.S. diplomatic compound in eastern Libya to outrage over The Innocence of Muslims.
The 55-year-old Egyptian-American has been granted supervised release from a federal prison, according to the Justice Department. Bureau of Prisons records show he is at an undisclosed halfway house in Southern California and is due to be formally freed next month.
Asked how he felt when the administration tied his film to the attack by armed militants that killed Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans, Nakoula said he was shocked.
"Because, you know, I never thought, my movie can cause anyone trouble or anyone can get killed from my movie," he said.
Asked if he thought the administration put him in danger, Nakoula declined to comment. But he said the government is "hiding" him.

Why did he have to say it was the Jews?
Asked if he thought the administration put him in danger, Nakoula declined to comment. But he said the government is "hiding" him.
I'm sure representatives of the feral government told him exactly what he was and wasn't permitted to say.
I don't believe a word he says ... not that he's a liar, but he's going to guard himself and say things that brings no attention to himself.
Glad he's out.
The guy did violate the terms of his parole, but I doubt he would have been revoked for this if the Obummer Administration had not tried to blame his video for an AQ attack.
What exactly was he charged with?
Making crappy movies?

PS BO to VJ "quick, find me a fig leaf"!
Was it an anti-Muslim film? You're not much of a reporter, Jake.
The film was not originally about Mohammed or Islam.
There were four versions of Nakoula's movie.
Only the final one was forwarded, by persons unknown, to Sheikh Khalid Abdullah the cleric in Cairo who aired it on TV. Nakoula, the maker of the original film, was not the one who uploaded the final version, Innocence of Muslims, to the internet.
You can hear some interesting things about the timeline of all these iterations of "the movie" in the Youtube video linked below. Start at 9:30 and watch to 16:00 for the meat of that.
“The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam”
As spoken before the United Nations September 25, 2012
The story of an empty chair looking for a straw man.
Let’s stop the BS. One or several states need to snatch Nakoula from federal control, give him armed protection and let him start singing.
We’re already at war with the federal fascist criminal syndicate occupying Washington. Time to stop pretending that we’re a union of states.
Howyabe, TigersEye...
Always good to see your posts, buddy.
I agree completely. No more screwing around with these commie usurpers. I think the time is coming.
Where is he today? Has he disappeared off the face of the earth?
