And is anyone really surprised at this? This adminstration had challenged just about every voter registration law that’s come out.

Of course. Without voter fraud, the Democrats would be toast.

not surprising.

Liberals are in meltdown mode over voter ID laws.

What I don’t understand is, what is the basis for any lawsuit? The Supreme Court has upheld voter ID laws. So, based on that precedent, how can there realistically be a lawsuit against this one?

And why do liberals oppose voter ID laws in the first place? Do they not think it appropriate that people identify themselves when they vote? Do they have problems with showing ID for all sorts of other purposes? Is it that hard to get an ID, for those anecdotal stories we hear about some old lady who never got a government issued ID, who has voted ever since the ‘40s or ‘50s, but now will be banned from voting?

I guess I figure, isn’t the proper response to voter ID laws for liberals to make sure their voters comply with the law and get their ID, rather than suing to block such laws???

So, they just skip the proper state court systems now and go directly to Big Brother federal government. Leftists despise the 10th Amendment and state sovereignty with absolute loathing, and don’t give them any credibility at all over federal jurisdiction.

Let ‘em sue.

It is time for some brave state to tell the Holder collection of cretins to shove it up their collective septic Obamaholes.

And then wait at the border for some fed to place their polluted feet inside...and arrest their sorry as...er...progrssive gasshole.

This is the second time voter ID passed in NC. I worked the polls, this past election, and many people showed up WITH their ID in hand, ready to vote.

The people of NC WANT voter ID. The real issue here is that the Federal government is suing US, and trying to deny us the right to vote, the right to representation.

Interesting times.

Voter Id should be a minimum requirement. No one should be able to vote by mail. This circumvents the ID requirement. And same day registration is idiotic. How can the validity of the registrant be certified prior to voting. All of these practices are championed by the liberals. Our brave young men and women are not volunteering to serve and die in the deserts of Iraq and Afghanistan to support these fraudulent voting practices.

In Louisiana early voting is allowed only for the five days preceding an election, and you must do so in person at a specified polling location, and you must have a government issued picture ID in order to vote early. This is how it should be.

How pathetic are these alleged suppressed voters who cannot obtain a free ID? The poor things can’t obtain gubermint benefits, attend a democRAT convention, take a White House tour, get in to see a speech by the _resident, open a bank account, cash a welfare check, pick up their pain pills at the pharmacy ...

Whats’ wrong with these lazy bastards getting up off of their welfare couches and actually going down to the polls on election day? This “early voting,” and voting by mail is all BS! People should have to go to the polls on election day to vote. Makes the activity the “special” event that it should be.

i always wondered why they just didn't enact these voter laws first at the the state and\or local level.( or maybe they have)
It would cost more ( 2 sets of ballots ?) and of course, I still haven't figured out how that would reduce vote fraud.

back to the drawing board.

How can someone be sued for a law which the SCOTUS has upheld as Constitutional, as recently as April 2008? Such cases should be immediately thrown out. On the other hand, perhaps the “newly converted” and blackmailed John Roberts would strike Voter ID down now.
